THis is just a thought, and I know it might be pretty hard to do, but does anyone else think that it would be cool to have the forum laid out to look like an LCARS display? Maybe add the occasional beep or error noise?

That'd be brilliant. It'd make the website so much better, and give the feeling of Star Trek

you know im a little in two minds about this. i would not mind an option to switch between the two. i could imagine it might get annoying after a while. sometimes the simple approach works best.

but id love to see what it could look like.

Actually I find the LCARS style to be a bit dated. It looked great for TNG but I really wouldn't want the forums to be designed that way.

Lol, I tried this a few years ago for my fleet's forums. Let's just say it didn't work (i.e. tons of email from people saying "MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!!!") :p

lol, we dont need to make it anything that extravigant but have a LCARS boarder maybe, perhaps some sounds when clicking on links and new topics and threads, no need to make it fully interactive or anything, just giving it a feel really.

So long as the sounds are easily disabled.
