I did a couple searches and I didn't find any threads spesific to JUST sharing bois for our characters and BOs, so I thought I'd make one. If there is one floating around someplace, please post a link and I'll repost this there.

I love to write, so naturally I write up bios for my chars. I put a lot of time and effort into these...yeah I'm a perfectionist like that :P I got to thinking that I can't be the only person playing who wants to expand upon their in-game stories. The possibilities are limitless.

Anyway, I'll start. The only Bio I'm satisfied with is my mule/crafter Borg. His name is Necros, captain of the U.S.S. Dear Brother. I know there are a few typos in it...I fixed them after I took these screenshots.

Part 1
Part 2

I apologize for the cut screenshot. My image hosting kept shrinking it and I couldn't read it until I cut it in half :(

Anyway, I'm curious of others' stories...it's fn sometmes to just go to the exchange and make like I'm shopping but really read bios. These are like the hidden jewels of the STO universe.

    I have 3 toons:
Nei: "Transplant" of my WoW toon...
"Gnomes... He said his transporter would take me instantly to Ironforge. I had heard stories of people using them and being turned into chickens, figured they were just wild stories. But when I awoke in a chicken coop in Texas, I started to think otherwise. I assume there's a very confused chicken in Ironforge and a gnome trying to undo a transformation that didn't happen. Well, at least there's no orcs in this reality... right? Huh? What's a Klingon?"

Lloth: Play off the Forgotten Realms character...
"As a hobby... god to a bunch of primitive proto-vulcans that live underground on planet Abeir-Toril"

Zukara: Refugee from Wing Commander Academy cartoon...

"Former Princess of the Kilrathi Empire and High Priestess of Sivar until the homeworld Kilrah was destroyed and the Kilrathi were forced to rejoin their distant cousins; the Caitians. Now, having lost all her power and prestige she has found her way into Starfleet to make a new life."

Mine are a little far-fetched, I will admit, but I didn't exactly expect anyone to read 'em...but what the hell.

First, my tac VA (which, yes, is supposed to be "the real me", lol):
    Race: Human (more or less)
    Age: 422
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 295 lbs.
    Hair: Brown
    Eyes: Hazel
    Rank: Vice Admiral
Assignment: Task Force Lordaeron, Nexus Fleet
    -U.S.S. Lowell
    -U.S.S. Benjamin Butler-A
    -U.S.S. Argent Crusade
    -U.S.S. Adelbert Ames-D

Joshua Underwood has lived far beyond the normal human lifespan; thanks to genetic engineering and cryogenic hibernation, he is well over four centuries old, and not looking any older than his 30s.

Underwood was a senior commander during the Divine War, where the Federation and its allies fought against an extragalactic foe known as the Divine Alliance. Underwood, his career having stagnated up to that point, received command of a ship, the Aurora, during that war, and became the executive officer of Caesius Base, the headquarters of Task Force 93. Upon the disappearance of his commander, Underwood was promoted to the Admiralty and assumed command of Caesius, where he remained for the rest of the war.

Returning to the core worlds after nearly two decades in the frontier, Underwood finds himself facing old friends as enemies, with the Klingon Empire having become hostile. Some officers of the Federation have joined the Klingon Defense Forces, including a few veterans of the Divine War; chief among them was General Kieran Devaneaux, who is now Underwood's sworn enemy.

My engineer LG (note: the Reydovan Empire is one of my custom nations from roleplaying settings I've been in):
    Race: Human Augment
    Age: 55
    Height: 7'0"
    Weight: 169 lbs.
    Hair: White
    Eyes: Blue
    Rank: Lieutenant General
    Allegiance: House of K'van
Assignment: Commanding Officer, IKS Terminus Est; gin'tak to the House of K'van

Kieran Devaneaux was the scion of a powerful noble family of the Reydovan Empire. His father, Artimus, allied with the evil Divine Alliance during the Divine War of 2386, committing horrific acts of genocide against the Federation and its allies - which, at the time, included the Klingon Empire. His rise through Starfleet's ranks was meteoric - he began the war a lieutenant and left it a brigadier general. The war climaxed for Devaneaux when he slew his maddened father during the Battle of the Scions' Rift.

After the war ended, Devaneaux - having lost his father, grandfather and wife in the course of the war - accepted the offer of his friend K'van, son of K'tarn, to be bonded to his House. K'van kept in contact with Devaneaux as relations between the Empire and the Federation deteriorated, and Devaneaux began to question his service to the Federation. The year before the severing of the Khitomer Accords, Devaneaux resigned his commission and journeyed to Qo'noS, where he accepted a commission in the Klingon Defense Forces onboard K'van's ship, the IKS VeS'jach. Rising through the ranks as quickly as he had in Federation service, Devaneaux had become a general in the KDF by 2409, and had earned several decorations fighting for the Empire, including the Order of the Bat'leth. He is one of a rising number of non-Klingon generals in the Empire's service.

Not surprisingly, General Devaneaux is condemned as a traitor by the Federation. His former commander, Admiral Joshua Underwood, has sworn to hunt down and bring Devaneaux to justice for his crimes against the Federation. His children have also condemned him, and work to repair the reputation of the Devaneaux name - all of Kieran's sons serve in Starfleet.

I'll go ahead and post the ones for my Fed Tac and Medic. They're both incomplete due to limited space for typing them in and, in the case of the medic's, I've yet to continue on count of not having a higher tier Excelsior, which is soon to change.

Walter has always been the one to shoot first on any given occasion where as Russ would watch, wait, and then act. As a result, Walter usually got himself and Russ in trouble in the process.

At a young age, Walter discovered his first Starfleet issued genande at the family ranch and home in the mountains of Grayson county Virginia. A few days a week, while his mother and father were working the fields, he and Russ cracked open the supposedly "dead" grenaded and studied its interior. Russ tackled the actuall disassembly of the grenade while Walter catagorized, identified, and memorized the componets and where they were placed. Several hours passed by, and after reassembling the grenade, careful to not set it off, the grenade activated after a sensor was tripped on it. Acting on instinct, Walter took the grenade from Russ, ran outsied and hurled it away from their home. The grenade landed in a small stream, adjacent to the chicken coop, exploded, and sent feathers flying.

Since that day, he and Russ have proceeded through Starfleet Academey. Russ took up engineering whilee Walter took up security and tactical measures. Due to Starfleet regulation against siblings serving on the same ship, the two were separated. Walter was posted an outpost that monitored Borg Transwarp condiuits while Russell ended up on a starship, stationed on the Cardissian front, as a junior engineering officer.

About a year later, all contact with the outpost was lost after an attack by the Borg. Everything on the station was presumed killed or assimilated. Upon hearing this, the now-Lieutenant, J.G. Russell Kirk, requested permission to join the investigation of what happened to the outpost. His request, however, was denied because HQ deemed it would be unwise for him to go.

    Here is McCrackens Bio ...
Known by his friends as 'Dutch', McCracken was born on the Lunar colony of Tycho City while his parents were posted to the Copernicus Ship yards as Starfleet Engineers. He accompanied his parents to the to the Mars Colonies when they were transferred to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. He was able to gain entry into Star Fleet Academy though the contacts he made as a young man, and experience working with Star Fleet engineering officers.

He had an unremarkable experience at the academy and received a posting on the USS Endeavour as a junior tactical officer. He distinguished himself after 6 months through a comedy of errors and mistaken identity. By pure chance, Dutch unravelled a Ferengi plot to hijack the Endeavour during a diplomatic mission. With the command crew distracted he regained control of the ship and foiled the Ferengi plans. The Ferengi, Murdok, has been following his career ever since.

McCracken is probably best known for his sense of humor which has landed him in trouble on several occasions. One unfortunate incident nearly de-railed a diplomatic mission when he was overheard telling one of his many Ferengi jokes. Also, It is not uncommon for Dutch to use the phase "Are you Sirius ... sector?" to diffuse a situation amongst his bridge crew.

this is my main James McCloud:
As a small child James would look up at the stars from the roof of his appartment building in New York City, of course he couldnt see much because of all the light pollution, but the ships in orbit all looked like shooting stars to him.

When James turned 18 he enlisted in Starfleet. Always good with numbers and facinated with all things science, he was a shoe in as a science officer, or so he thought. Though the countless tests, papers, and exams were a breeze for him the physical portion of the training was something else entirely.

He was failing miserably until he noticed that one of his class mates Mirra, an Andorian, was in the same trouble he was, except she was good at the physical and failing everything else. Together they worked closely with each other, him helping her study and she helping him train. Together they made a great team, that is until graduation day.

After serving aboard three ships as just another lab assistant nothing James did lead him to any kind of promotion beyond Ensign. Tired of fetching things from the replicators or pulling night shifts for the Chief Science Officers and about to quit James was transfered to the U.S.S. Panther a recently renovated original Constitution Class Starship. Here as well he was just an Enisgn. That is until the Panther recieved the call to the Vega System to help stop the Borg.

During the crisis James was transported to the U.S.S. Khitomer, where in the frantic scramble he came across Mirra, both supprised but not unhappy to see one another, they went in phasers blazing to reclaim the ship. When the dust settled it had become apparent that the U.S.S. Panther had lost its command crew and that James being the most senior of the Ensigns was now Captain. As his first act he had Mirra transfered to the Panther and enlisted as Chief Tactical Officer.

As things began to settle down and James became more and more comfortable with his position as Captain his relationship with Mirra reignited.

Born in Norway, and after being rejected two years in a row from Star Fleet Academy for falling to pass the entrance exam. He joined Starfleet as a crewmen, and after a couple of short assignments on different ships and stations as a security officer. He was assigned to the USS Tiburon under the command of the highly respected Captain Andersen.

At this position he showed great understanding and interest for engineering. And rose quickly within the enlisted ranks as an engineer, for usually coming up with untraditional and occasionally crazy solution to different problems.

Under an away mission to a new colony on the edges of Federation space. The Tiburon was called away on a distress call and had to leave the away team behind. Shortly after, the colony was attacked by Nausicaan pirates.

Most of his team members, including the First Officer, had been killed or incapacitated in the initial assault. He had also been hit im self several times by disruptor fire, and was seriously wounded. He found himself heavily outmanned and outgunned, without any possibility for help from his ship. He had no other alternative but to take command him self and fight back to survive. By using some intuitive tactics and engineering skills, he managed to hold back the attacking Nausicaan pirates with help of the colonists and surviving team members. The Tiburon returned to the colony shortly thereafter, and managed to repel the pirates.

He spent a month recovering at a Federation medical facility, before returning to the Tiburon. Where he was given a field promotion to Ensign and awarded the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor for his effort.

Due to the pressing need for more captains, as well as repeated requests and recommendations from Captain Andersen, he was finally assigned to Earth Spacedock by Admiral Quinn for evaluation.

After showing great potential during the Borg incident, he was promoted to Lieutenant and was given the command of the USS Fridtjof Nansen

I know of at least one other thread with bios and links to bios in it.

    http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=194374

I really enjoy reading other people's writing about their characters. I haven't yet taken a good look at the earlier posts in this thread, but I will.

I also am working on three blogs with bios and log entries (and other stuff). The addresses are in my sig. I've also linked to some other sites where people have written some good bios, etc. If anyone wants me to link to their site/blog/whatever, let me know.

Just for fun, here's the bio of one of my characters:

Patrick Guinness Donal O’Kennedy (or, in the more Gaelic form he sometimes adopts, Paidraig Guinness Domhnall O’Cinneididh) was the child of Kathleen O’Kennedy, a descendant of the legendary Arthur Guinness and a chemist at the St. James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, and Timothy O’Kennedy, the director of the adjacent Guinness Institute for Advanced Study (GIAS), which was founded after World War III. (Synthahol was actually invented at the GIAS by accident. It is still regarded as a mistake there.)

Patrick entered Starfleet Academy somewhat later in life. He spent his early years traveling around Earth and throughout the solar system, often working odd jobs on shuttles and orbital rigs. For eighteen months, he also served as an engineering mate on the SS Death Star, an aging interstellar freighter.

While at the Academy, Patrick earned a reputation. Because of his personal charm and his air of self-confidence, he was sometimes compared him to a young James Kirk. True to the comparison, he also displayed what some instructors felt was a contempt for authority. As a teaching assistant in advanced engineering II, he instructed his students how to make beer with spare parts from the demonstration warp core, leading to a now-famous remark by the Academy commandant that a starship is not a brewery. Rumor also had it that he was responsible for a prank in which the Academy’s transporters began reversing the gender of everyone who used them.

Though many of his instructors also complained about his lack of effort, in the end, he excelled in both theoretical and practical work. When the USS Khun Bulom experienced a freak collision with a micro-singularity, Cadet O’Kennedy saved the ship from a warp core breach by increasing the matter-antimatter mix ration to 2:1, clogging the injectors with particle build up—a practice that he learned aboard the Death Star called “flash freezing.”

After leaving the Academy, Patrick was assigned to the USS Kilkee. He is now in command of the USS Ardent.

My origin story of why I joined Starfleet is so tame, so normal, so uninspiring that it bears telling. I had no great trials to overcome. No barriers to break. No worthy cause to avenge.

One day, my fourth grade class was invited to the USS Richmond, a Cheyenne-class cruiser, for a field trip. Part of the tour was a visit to the bridge. As looked down on New Essex below us, I knew I wanted to join Starfleet. I would be in space. I would have the best dental and medical coverage in the galaxy. And they would let me work with explosives. I really like teeth and explosives. Not at the same time, mind you, but in general.

Three weeks later the Richmond was destroyed by space ninjas or something. But the impression was made upon me and so I set out to accomplish the goal I had set before myself that day. And apart from a brief period in high school when I wanted to be a professional holoprogram author, I have stuck by that goal.

After excelling in school and athletic programs, gaining entry to Starfleet Academy was no big issue. I was initially training for science, until I learned that science positions rarely got to actually do something. Usually they just looked into the sciences viewmaster and said whatever popped into their heads. Engineers however did things. Important things. Like jury-rig a plasma core to take out a squad of boarders. Or wire a warp core to be used as an impromptu mine. Sometimes they even fixed the ship.

So I changed my area of study to Engineering. Practical sciences, the Engineering cadets snidely said to the science cadets. And indeed it was practical. I graduated in the top ten in my class.

I was assigned to the USS Kagutsuchi, a Delta-pattern modified Prometheus-class cruiser on station in the Psi Velorum sector. Mostly we were patrolling for pirates. Romulan and Reman vessels often raided ships in this area, hoping for an easy steal of some cargo. Officially they were free-booting pirates. But everyone with any brains knew they were working for the Empire. How the mighty have fallen. THe once proud Romulans reduced to a pack of scavenging wolves.

As the new Ensign, I got the grunt work. This paid off when I was assigned to lead a boarding party against a suspected Reman pirate vessel. It was a pirate vessel. It also had a class-A psyker aboard. He made Chief Elb's head explode when we found him. I knew how to deal with psykers though. I never thought those novels would come in handy, but they did. It was then I began to trust in a higher power. The Empress. Somehow, my head did not explode and I put the psyker down with a phaser shot.

For that, I got a promotion to Lieutenant. Apparently the psyker had also disabled the entire boarding team and they were about to be murdered by the Remans. Even better, I was moved to the bridge and a comfy chair.

When the Borg attacked the Vega system the Kagutsuchi, being one of the Federation's most powerful attack cruisers, was recalled to Vega. A warp cavitation caused to arrive late. By then, much of the battle was over. The USS Coridan however was in dire straits...

I thought I would post my bio here, because someone linked this thread to me in another thread. I wanted to share my creativity and amateur role-play skills. ;)

My avatar is a pic of my main toon in game. I made him to look like a klingon. :D

Screen shots of my main toon:

    https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/rqWmgp8WkGbRREWCSslliQ?feat=directlink

I think my toon's bio would explain things better. I wrote it myself.

It's made up, I know. But it was my first attempt at roleplay, so I was trying to use my imagination.

    Here's my toon's bio:
    Species: Klingon/Jem'Hadar Hybrid

    History/Genealogy:

Born 2397, Patch is the product of Klingon DNA spliced
with a Jem'Hadar clone. He has two sets of organs just
like normal Klingons. He would look like any normal
Klingon Humanoid, except that they contain the strengths
of both races and none of their weaknesses. They are
unique in this aspect because they are the only survivor
of this whole line of experiments. The lab where this took
place was conquered by the Federation. It was later
destroyed after it was deemed inhumane to experiment with
the DNA of a species based on clones. In this case, this subject was fortunate that they contain none of the recessive genes. Being the pride of the Federation for their ironic discovery, Patch's application to join the Academy was automatically accepted. Graduated at the top of their class, the first and only one of their kind to receive such an honor. Like
the most notably Jean-Luc Picard, Patch survived assimilation into the Borg collective.
The Borg is their chosen nemesis. They have sworn since their miraculous escape, that they will stop at nothing till every last Borg is freed or extinct.

I've been recently rebuilding some of my character bios, since I apparently accidentally deleted the file I kept them on. Hopefully the new ones are better than the old, and they will fit within the character limits the game apparently has for bios. I'm posting only the two captains I've redone so far; posting the crew along with them would take up too much space.

    Vice Admiral Nicolai Kovac
One of Starfleet’s up and coming captains, Nicolai Kovac had originally intended to become a fighter pilot with the militia forces of his native Hestia. At the time, however, advancement through the crowd ranks of the Hestian militia was considered a near impossibility, so the ambitious Kovac transferred to Starfleet Academy after his second year. Even at the Academy, he showed an impressive grasp of military strategy and some skills in engineering, but never showed very much aptitude, or interest, in the sciences; he often acknowledges the latter as the reason why he graduated in the top 20 of his class instead of the top 10. He first achieved notoriety during the Battle of the Tibor Nebula in 2374; the battle itself was a stalemate, but Kovac’s actions that day resulted in the disabling, and then destruction, of a Dominion battleship. After the war, Kovac was offered command of four other starships before the Kearsarge, but turned them down for various reasons. As a commander, Kovac is noted by his subordinates and peers as a confident, easy going, yet unconventional commander who will often socialize with those in the lower ranks, believing that while a captain should keep a certain distance between himself and his crew, it doesn’t mean he has to socially ostracize himself.

    Captain K'Traug
K’Traug was born a mach ghoti’, or “runt” as the humans would say, and as such it was never thought that he’d have much of a career as a warrior. But K’Traug was born with a high intellect and soon discovered he had an aptitude for the sciences, so decided that if he was not fated to be a warrior, he would become one of the Empire’s foremost scientists. He specializes in cartography, both stellar and planetary, and his Bird-of-Prey, the IKS Sekhmet, has been specially modified for this task. K’Traug and the Sekhmet have mapped much of the territory within the Empire, as well as several regions outside its borders, and because of this, it’s not uncommon for the Sekhmet to be sent behind enemy lines to scout the positions and strengths of the forces. Most of the warrior elite sneer at K’Traug’s career choice, but he pays them little heed; after all, the most successful warrior is a well informed warrior.

This was recently updated to incorperate the Ten Forward into it.

Captain 'Freakazoid' Sun was the by-product of the very old classic cartoons of the 1980's and 90's, often spending most of his time either watching old cartoons or collecting memorabilia, including a functional 1990's computer with a genuine Pinnacle chip inside.

According to rumors at Starfleet Academy, he once slept with four female Orion cadets at the same time and resisted the combined allure of their pheremones. There is also another event that occured, but it was declared classified, and requires three Admirals with gamma-level clearance to view the report.

Ever since the incident at the Academy, he has both frustrated and impressed his superiors with his unorthodox and seemingly impossible manuvers.

However, because of his eccentric nature, his peers are often seen talking about him whispering rumors about his various exploits and methodologies. Some blame the Q, whereas others simply attribute his oddities to having spent too much time watching old films and footage.

Others simply claim that he never should've been a cadet in the first place, and often wonder how he passed the psychological examination. The councilor who did the examination could not be reached for comment.

There were rumors of his admission having to do with an extremely irate officer who was the victim of a prank. Witnesses claim they saw her running back to her room screaming bloody murder. Others claim there was clothing deposited onto the hull of the ship that was docked there for retro-fitting.

Recently due to an evaluation, Vice Admiral Sun was demoted to the rank of Commander and assigned to the USS Ten Forward-A for making a complete fool of several members of the Admiralty, calling them "over-glorified paper tigers and rear echelon mother f***ers" for wasting away in an office safe behind the lines whilst problems are arising in the Fleet.

A descendant of legendary Imperial Guard Commander Hravishran th'Zoarhi, Hravishrev th'Loknar was critically injured in an Orion raid on his home colony of Kei III. The chan and zhen of his shelthreth were killed in the attack, but his shen survived and was taken, presumably as a slave, by the Orion pirates.

Shrev made a painful recovery, but knew he could not allow grief and anger to consume him. Quick with his hands as well as his temper, he joined Starfleet with the ultimate goal of finding and rescuing his surviving bondmate, and avenging himself upon any Orion who crosses his path.

Born on Vulcan in 2311, Solek son of Selok acquired an early fascination with lore surrounding the adventures and achievements of the legendary Ambassador Spock. Upon completion of his studies at the Vulcan Science Academy, Solek was appointed to a postgraduate fellowship involved in red matter research, which led to his participation in the upgrade of the Jellyfish starship during the Hobus incident. This afforded him a brief association with his idol, as well as renowned Starfleet Engineer Geordi La Forge.

Solek later withdrew from the Science Academy over the controversy regarding Vulcan's unsanctioned development of red matter technology. He was also troubled by evidence indicating that the entire Hobus tragedy could have been averted had the Vulcan Science Council chosen to act sooner. After undergoing and attaining the kolinahr discipline, Solek determined that joining Starfleet was the most logical course to follow in service to the needs of the many.

The Zox symbiote was born on Trill in 2221 and was joined with its first host, Yerel, in 2239. A talented Starfleet tactical officer, Yerel Zox served briefly aboard the legendary Constitution-class U.S.S. Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike. In 2262 he accepted a posting to Starfleet Academy as an instructor in starship targeting systems, where the famed Pavel Chekov was once counted among his students.

Amorea was the second host to be joined with Zox, in 2301. She served in the Federation Science Bureau and worked extensively with Dr. Gillian Taylor of the New Cetacean Institute. In 2310 Amorea Zox participated in an oceanographic survey of the planet Pacifica led by Taylor with the humpback whale Harpo, son of 20th-century transplants George and Gracie.

The symbiote was joined with its third, and current, host in 2393. An accomplished warp theorist, Derve experienced some initial difficulty integrating the memories of Zox's former hosts, but undertaking the zhian'tara rite brought reconciliation and a new direction. The symbiote's affinity for Yerel's adventures in the 23rd century led Derve Zox to join Starfleet, where he now serves with distinction in the Corps of Engineers.

Born on Qo'noS in 2371, Kr'Gret is the son of Mog, son of Nog'dtum, of the House of Kruge. The line of M'Kkshi places them in direct descent of the legendary Kruge himself, who met his honor in mortal combat with the tera'ngan 'IqnaH QaD James Tiberius Kirk in 2285.

Kr'Gret's father was an honored Imperial Marine HoH serving in the Qabjech Exploratory Fleet aboard the I.K.S. K'nel. The K'nel was listed as missing shortly before Kr'Gret's Rite of Ascension, provoking great uncertainty within the young warrior. Was Mog permitted to meet death with honor? Does he thus serve Kahless the Unforgettable in the Black Fleet of Sto-vo-kor? Or did he sail with Kortar the First on the Barge of the Dead to the fire and icy wastes of Gre'thor?

Kr'Gret joined the Klingon Defense Force and the ranks of the Grand Imperial Fleet with the personal mission of determining his father's fate while securing his own glory as a warrior of the Empire.

    VADM Semmes

Rachael Alderman Semmes is one of Starfleet’s newest captains, and arguably one of the more notorious members of their ranks. She claims to be descended from the infamous Confederate commander Raphael Semmes, though given her penchant for telling tall tales about her past, most regard that claim with a fair amount of skepticism. During her Academy years, she was infamous for pulling a variety of pranks on her classmates and even instructors; while usually harmless, they did land her in trouble from time to time. She was, and still is, also renowned for the number of lovers she’s taken over the years, ranging across a variety of species and genders. Given her reputation, many of her peers were astonished when she was given command of the Albemarle, let alone a starship at all. But she’s proven on more than one occasion that she is an instinctual and effective commander, and she enjoys the duties that command gives her. She and fellow captain Nicolai Kovac have been friends since their Academy days, and actually had a bet on who would obtain command of a starship first. Semmes won by two months and continues to teasingly remind him that he owes her a case of Romulan kali-fal.

    Vice Admiral Julian Walker
    Captain, U.S.S. Eidolon

Born outside of Federation space, Julian was the product of the inherent closeness between two people on a long-term, deep space exploration mission. His parents were members of the Federation studying gravtiational forces beyond the spiral arms of the Milky Way, which forced Julian to begin his life on a cramped Nova-class vessel.

The first three years of his life were psychologically difficult. Not only was Julian's presence a taboo as birth control methods were common on board the Hermes, but most of the boy's education and social interaction came from an emergency medical hologram with programming haphazardly altered to support the child.

Upon returning to Federation space, Julian was placed into a public schooling facility. While excelling in mathematics, the physical sciences, history, and oddly enough athletics, Julian suffered greatly from an inability to socialize. His stellar academics and a paper on the necessity of government intervention on morally ambiguous matters of state led to a recommendation to become joined. The date for Julian's acceptance to Starfleet coincided with his date to be joined with the Vorell symbiote, and so a special dispensation was issued to permit the process.

The Vorell symbiote had previously been engaged in battles against the Klingon and Romulan Empire, including recently the Borg. With a storied history in battle, the Vorell symbiote brought to Julian a knowledge of tactics that, coupled with his background in history and the sciences, may prove deadly as the two areas of his psyche collide. Allegations arose that the Symbiosis Committee was pressured by Starfleet to admit Julian based on the potential volatility of his personality, but such accusations are baseless and come from a disenfranchised portion of the Trill population.

Commander Hemingway: Current Assignment: USS Kepler:

The being known only as Hemingway is in reality a synthezoid - a synthetic organic being somewhat akin to an advanced alien android. Found in deep space aboard a derelict spaceship - preserved in stasis and created as an emergency service crewman for the long-dead race that it served - Hemingway was brought back to the Federation and studied.

Once its self-awareness and sentience had been established, however, it was determined that this synthezoid could determine its own destiny. Choosing its name from Terran literature, the seemingly tireless Hemingway (for Hemingway neither needs to eat, breathe, nor sleep as most of its cellular energy is supplied by its skin surface) applied for an entered Starfleet Academy to serve the goals of the United Federation of Planets.

    Notations:

Commander Hemingway has no gender, nor has it any capability to reproduce - it is sexless in that regard (and finds mating rituals between species to be interesting - although Hemingway has been propositioned at times by species of both (or other) genders - usually when they have imbibed too much alcohol.)

As noted:: Hemingway does not need sleep, nor does it breathe, such acts as eating and taking in of water is normally only done as social etiquette. Hemingway's skin surface is a complex system of radiation collectors and converters to absorb radiation sources and turn them into power for its body. Thus Hemingway 'feeds' off of radiation sources including thermal, infrared, ultraviolet, and many others This has proven useful as Hemingway can enter a highly radioactive area of the ship (a damaged warp or impulse engine room, for example) with no ill effects. Its ability to eat humanoid food is merely another processor system for additional power (and to not make dinner guests nervous)

Because of its nature, Hemingway is immune to the effects of poisons, drugs, and alcohol. Hemingway does not feel pain - at least not in the way a human (for example) does. The equivalent to pain for Hemingway is an alert that it is either under attack, or a notification that some body part is damaged and requires repair.

    My Main Dra'ko. U.S.S. IMPERIUM, U.S.S. AOTEAROA, U.S.S. SOUTHERN CROSS, U.S.S. ANZAC
    http://www.startrekonline.com/character_profiles/1271933/view
Dra'ko is half Ver'Hati and half Romulan from Ver'Hati Prime. The Ver'Hati were once an alien member race of the Romulan Star Empire but since the distruction of Romulus and the Reman uprising the Ver'Hati broke away from what was left of the Romulan Star Empire.

The Ver'Hati kept strong diplomatic relations with the empire and gradually built diplomatic relations with the United Federation of Planets. The Ver'Hati are at a unique position between both powers and Ver'Hati Prime has become host to several peace negotiations between the Federation and the Romulan Empire. The Ver'Hati Imperial Council decided to send 10 Imperial Guard Commanders to serve in StarFleet and 10 Imperial Guard Commanders to serve in the Romulan Military as a show of solidarity to both powers.

The Ver'Hati wishes to remain as an observer race with the Federation and membership to the United Federation of Planets has been kindly declined by the Ver'Hati Imperial Court and by the Imperial Council.

As part of the bilateral none intervention treaty with the Federation the location of Ver'Hati Territory and primarily Ver'Hati Prime has remained classified and only key Federation Officials have access to this information. However it is Generally known that Ver'Hati Territory is located at the other end of the Khazon Cluster

    Doctor T'Kara

Doctor T’Kara is one of Starfleet’s best medical minds and most gifted surgeons, though many of her patients often complain about her “lack of bedside manners.” Her personality is best described as “stoic” and she appears to be as devoted to logic as the average Vulcan. But no Vulcan is totally without emotion; they are just more practiced at hiding them and T’Kara is no exception. Her seemingly icy demeanor and personality hide a compassionate individual whose only real ambition in life was to help others, thus her decision to become a physician. Those who have worked with her and gotten to know her have admitted that her devotion to Vulcan philosophy makes her hard to know, but once one learns how to read her *very* subtle emotional changes, she makes as good a commander and friend as any more emotional character. T’Kara’s years of service have earned her the command of the medical ship Godspeed and is currently assigned to the relief efforts to the Romulan Empire after the destruction of their capital planet. It was an assignment that she requested, despite – or perhaps because of - the current hostilities between the Romulans and their Vulcan cousins.
