I purchased the Nebula Class retrofit through the ctore a while back and started using it a few weeks ago. I noticed and have wondered why every other ship in the game has the Starfleet insignia that it should, except the Nebula class which has none. I've checked sources and the Nebula should have insignia identical to the Galaxy class, plus on the pylons.
Please add Starfleet insignia to the Nebula Class!
I know they are gradually adding the insignia to all ships...I'm just wondering why they make ships a priority that are in-game and can be picked up with only EC or a promotion token, yet ships like the Nebula retrofit which were purchased by buyers through the c-store have to wait for a finished product.
I don't know how they prioritize this, but I can guess some potential methods:
1) The Art Dept has an internal method which basically boils down to "what they want to work on next".
2) Ships are prioritized in part by the quantity of that type in-game. This does not explain why the Assault Cruiser has not been updated, however.
3) CBS is involved in which ships get priority treatment.
4) Ships that the art team are already working on for other reasons (such as the cosmetic changes to the Galaxy Class for the interior of ESD) get priority.
Some, all, or none of these may be correct. The only good advice I can give is, be patient.
THe upside down insignia isn't on all ships, just some (such as the Nebula). Frankly, I'm quite frustrated with that. I mean really, it's just a sign of lazy carelessness.
They were rushed to release the game, so I understand why many ships have the wrong textures (practically ALL the canon ships, actually), and it's good that they're adjusting them as they have done with the Galaxy, but while this bit with the upside down insignia isn't a major thing by any stretch, it's indiciative of carelessness. I can't imagine it would be hard to fix this, but it's been this way since the game launched (and presumably before).

Cryptic has said they are gradually working through the Fed ships and adding this, so be patient.
