dont be foolish, more likely its down to the increased amount of people downloading champions online...there is only so much bandwidth available
Rubbish. It's like this when downloading the game (took 15 hours for me) and when applying the patches for the game. Go search through threads - nearly everyone gets this problem. It's pathetic.
I keep getting disconnected after .5%.... Been trying for two days to play the game I've paid good money for... until this is resolved (and thinking to pursue my two days back) I've cancelled my membership....
In this day and age its just unacceptable, maybe in a beta it could have been arguable but this game is ONE YEAR old and these isues should have been addressed well before today.... too much bandwidth you say? Stop using star trek servers and game to pay for this Champions thing...

I couldn't agree more... I've also been here since the start and after a year I've seen nothing but lag increase for me. Sometimes I cannot even play in the game as it lags so much and I have a 20mb optical connection so it's nothing to do with that. I do however like the fact that no person who actually works for Cryptic will actually comment on this post nor will they address the issue. Is it really so hard for them to increase their bandwidth or buy some new servers... I have a day off today for a change and have only so far been able to watch my game patch 5 % in 2 hours... I'll live in hope something will be done about it but expect nothing... what do we pay for again? Buggy episode releases? Sack the designers and get some more techies first!
Hey, just purchased the game last night, installed the game to my laptop, but now downloading the patch files. Been doin' that since last night but until now still have not finish! Can some one point me to the manual patch download server? Got tired of waiting and waiting!
I feel your pain, yet at the same time was lucky. I tried downloading initially and was getting 16kbps tops, which would have taken days.
Someone else suggested early morning uk time, as the US (I imagine the main bandwidth huggers) is asleep. Amazingly, this worked a charm, I was getting 4000kbps+
This shows the Cryptic servers CAN do the speed, but just lack the necessary bandwidth. Only advice is to try at off peak times.
