Science Vessel Warp Animation

So yeah, I have a kitbashed Lieutenant Commander rank Science Vessel. Whenever I warp to sector space or a system, however, the "warp trails" are doubled up, like another ship is warping with me.

A minor annoyance, but I still thought I'd bring it up. Of course, it could be the Romulans fault. It's always their fault.

I'll post screens later.

I have the issue. Doesn't really matter, but when I go to warp there is one extra pair of warp trails about a ships width off to the left of my warp trails. Also science vessel.

I have the issue as well. Started with Season 3; both my Tac and Sci vice admirals are affected. My Captain Engineer doesn't have a problem, although I did switch to Captain after Season 3 came out.

    Update Feb 6th, 2011

I just wanted to add that my VA Science Officer has this issue when I switched to a Runabout for the FE The Vault. Go to warp and second set of warp trails.

One more with the same problem. I have a VA science officer, running on a Long Range Science Vessel refit, and the Same thing happens. Also, when I switched to a runabout, the same thing happened.

Same. However my problem is rather specific and strange.

When using my account to play STO, i do not see doubled up warp trails.

When my brother uses his account on the same computer, the warp trails double up for all his ships.

Testing both our accounts on a 2nd computer shows no doubling for both.

Im quite sure i set both our graphics settings, including all advanced and troublehooting settings to the same values, so im not sure if its related to having different graphics settings. Maybe i missed something, or its related to something other than graphics

Lt. Commander science vessel here and I am having the same problem as well. It always looks like someone is warping with me. Not the most annoying problem out there, but would be cool if they fixed it.

Yup having the same issue here with my Sci VA in an Intrepid Retrofit, had it for ages. It doesn't happen for my Eng Lieutenant Commander at all, but he was started fairly recently. Nor does it for my Tac RA, and his ship actually has four nacelles! :D

Not a major concern of mine but as there's a thread up I thought i'd mention it.

Same problem occurs on my runabout warp animations as well. Is there any official confirmation about this anywhere?

Not that I've heard about. Also, I switched to my old Assault Cruiser, because i wasn't getting along with the interprid refit (being killed on almost one shot on PvP by escortas) and then, I noticed that the problem was gone. I guess the problem is then with the interprid refit and runabouts. I don't know. It would be nice if we could get some official word about this.
