Try uninstalling Pando, and reinstalling the game, or installing the newer game client. You can also consider install the Pando Media Booster directly from them to see if that helps. Info about pando issues: https://support.perfectworld.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4042

PWI is a WINDOWS game. It uses DirectX APIs and such. You can try Wine and Crossover games, those might help. Please note we do not support any Linux flavors or Mac OSX systems.

You may have to be on a Windows Admin account, or have Run as Admin access to be able to download, install, update, and run the game. If on Windows Vista or 7, you may have to change the level of your UAC settings or turn them off temporarily.

Make sure that you selected the right server when you logged in. After an update, the server list often resorts itself. It is easy to forget when always logging into the same one. b:victory

If you can get a legit copy of d3dx9_42.dll, you could try copying it to the game's main folder and then run the game. I found one source, but don't know how genuine it is, so use AT YOUR OWN RISK. 1) You can download d3dx9_42.dll here: http://dllcentral.com/d3dx9_42.dll/9.27.952.3001/download/ 2) Paste this file into your…

This is a brief little update. We are waiting to hear back about a new game client. When it is put up, you can check the download page to see if that version is 580 (current non-expansion up to date version) or a 612 (or higher) version number. We don't have an ETA yet. Also, the game's minimum system requirements have…

I am pushing to try and get a new current version game client made ASAP. No ETA. It would be nice if this week, but may be next week. Don't sweat it, we understand the issues! b:sad The DirectX update and manual patches fixes it for many. Another thing I have noticed is, it seems like the game may require DirectX 9 level…

Try updating your video drivers too. I updated the first post with hopefully easier to read and understand info.

You just need to replace that file. Please see my first post on how to do this. b:victory

It isn't a half efforted job done that is the problem, is that the patch is almost 900MB. Hopefully a new game client with the updated content will be available next week.

Your antivirus or firewall might be throttling or blocking part of it trying to update.

Whether you have XP, Vista, or 7, if you see invisible NPCs or characters, this fixes it (for most everyone), hence why we put the link. We already jumped through all the adventures this patch presents, which is why we posted the stickies with the work arounds b:victory

The DirectX thing and the manual patches/size of the patch are the main issues QA encountered and players have encountered, and our solutions have helped so far (knock on bamboo). QA worked on it here in the office and those are the main things that they, and tech support were hammering on. We came up with these solutions…
