Maybe it's just me, but on Sanctuary I come across a lot more seekers than mystics. Especially at the higher levels. There seemed to be a lot of mystics initially but I don't know where they've gone now. So my experience has been quite the opposite of the OP.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned this but....you should always level up all summons, if for no other reason than to utilize the bonuses when they are energy leeched. Leech is a phenomenal skill and is well worth absorbing the pet to gain the bonuses.
