PWI stealing gold????

I am soooo angry, upset, disgusted, mortified...pick one. Last week, I started out with a straight 12 gold on my account - yesterday (Saturday) all that was left was 4 gold and 53 silver.

I have never given ANYONE my password....and if PWI thinks they are getting anymore money from me...they can go jerk...... I will be telling all of my friends, faction mates and anyone else I can about this - some I have told and they too will no longer be spending their hard earned money on this BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Check both the AH gold trade for deposited gold and the Auction tab in the boutique window for locked gold. Gold can be hiding in either of those.

    Just saying, but why would PWI steal golds in the first place ? You think there is a greedy GM who wants to gamble on packs ?

    From the amount described, it sounds like it might have been an AH-related thing. Make sure that you weren't selling gold on the AH and just forgot about it. I highly doubt that anyone at PWE would have taken that precise of an amount out of your account, if they were to take anything at all.

    Worst comes to worst, submit a ticket with a billing-related issue, and just mention that you noticed that you were missing some gold. They can track what was purchased on the account, and as long as you can prove you're the account-holder, I'm sure they'd be willing to share that info with you.

    I'm not an idiot...I checked everything, and I was a bookkeeper so I know what money I had.....and I had to finally sell my last bit of gold at AH to save what money I had left.

    It wouldn't be so strange, except it started out with 12 gold going to 7 gold and 42 silver then it went down to 4 gold and 37 silver.

    And as far as why would they take the gold...oh well geez, lack of new players coming in and spending and lack of rb's not buying gold.

    Sure... best way to encourage people buying gold is to make it disappear...
    I'm not saying that you lie or whatever and I hope you will clear this out.
    But as said above, submit a ticket (be patient but they're supposed to be faster when money is involved).

    Submit a ticket?????? Seriously? Okay, well I have tried for the past 2 hours to do that, and Arc will not let me sign on without a PIN...it thinks I'm using a new computer, which I'm not, then when I do put the PIn in they send to me, it gets rejected and I lose one login every time I try with a new PIN.

    OSo great guru...tell me what's happening there? And you are correct, I DO NOT lie, I am retired, this game was supposed to be fun and relaxing, but it has turned out to be anything but. So next.......

    Well basically what is happening here is you are incompetent.

    1.) 7 gold and 47 silver is missing? That's a pretty strange amount. here are the possibilities for what happened.
    ---a.) You bought something with the gold, and also spent silver on fireworks
    ---b.) You sold gold in the Auction House and the silver was tax.
    note: if the gold has not sold yet, it may still be up for sale in AH
    ---c.) somebody else played on your account and did one of the above

    2.) When you are prompted to enter a pin, simply go to your email in a separate tab and find the most recent message from ARC. Enter the code and it will grant you access. It is done for your protection.

    A few other ideas on what may have happened.

    You get pop ups suggesting to buy certain things from the boutique, for example, when refining it says hey wanna buy these tienkangs and will purchase if you click the wrong button, or when you're about to die and you have no GS in bag a pop up comes up and if you click it you end up purchasing a overpriced GS from the Boutique.

    The best thing for that I've found is to keep all your gold in the AH account rather than on your boutique tab.

    Also PWI would have no motive to steal your gold, it's not like they are selling cupcakes where if they take your money and don't give you a cupcake they can sell that cupcake to someone else, or if they take that cupcake back they can sell it to someone else. They are selling you pixels that cost them nothing to make and also the gold has absolutely no value to them. Taking someones gold isn't likely to motivate them to charge more as is fairly evident from your anger at the missing gold.

    IF your gold really is missing, and you can't get the webpage to work, you can still submit a ticket via the email attached to the account. customerservice@perfectworld.com

    I would also make sure my computer is virus/keylogger free, then change any passwords you may have related to PWI in case your account picked one up. You don't have to have given your password out for someone to have gotten access to your account, you could have picked up a keylogger from a website or something.
