    BUMP - and Thank You _BIackRose_ b:flower, this definitely worked (just added a [spacekey] between the line I added "startbypatcher" to and the "startbypatcher" itself, as you had in the image linked).

    And I still have ARC, mainly for rewards now, blessings, and to open PWI the ARC-way to update it. Close it after, hopefully, and then open PWI this way. Should see within a week. b:victory

    This doesn't seem to work for me. The new client complains that the client isn't up to date...

    ^ This. In the PWI patcher folder there is a text file called stringtab.txt that provides messages used by the patcher program. At the bottom of it you will find:

    162 This game requires:
    163 DirectX 9.0c
    164 Please update by yourself
    165 Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International EN
    166 Current progress：
    167 Whole progress
    168 Version.txt error
    169 Please try later
    170 Please choose the server with faster connection:
    174 You need to install Arc
    175 To start the game
    176 Install
    177 Quit
    178 Please download and install Arc,
    179 Then start game from Arc, the site is:
    180 http://www.arcgames.com/
    181 ArcInstall.exe

    If those lines I have bolded are not there, the patcher no longer reports you don't have arc installed and carries on anyway... there is even a version of the file missing these lines in the launcher folder so you can just copy and paste it across...

    Make copies of both files for future reference just in case this is changed though. b:bye

    i can do this too but when i launch the client i try log my info it does said it isnt updated how ican fix this ? :D

    client opens.. but it needs to be updated. anyone know how to fix this?
