Arc Trouble

Connection keeps timing out, tells me to check my internet connection and try again, but If I happen to have a game client open I can still log into the game just fine. and I can surf the web just fine as well.

Disabled antivirus, and firewall that didn't do anything...checked router to see if any ports could have gotten blocked or disabled...nothing wrong there.. restarted computer/computers (It's doing it with all my computers) still nothing. Any ideas?

Is anyone else having the same problem?

    how about going to
    C"/...choose program files....
    .then find the perfect world folder....
    double click on the Arc file...
    you will find a file called ArcRepair..
    .double click..it will start
    by itself and fix Arc...
    this has always worked in the past for me...

    Timeouts suggest you get connectivity interruptions from time to time. Short interruptions can be annoying to games but doesn't affect browsing as much. If you're on wireless, check your signal strength.

    Got up, started comp, Arc updated and broke itself.

    Felt lazy, searched for PWI Arc starting without, followed steps.

    You can play the game, but any codes and such won't work without it. Though this is one of the reasons many stash a couple weeks of blessings into their mailbox.

    Same here and I connected yesterday 3 hours after reset with no issue. I don't think is an internet issue since many people are having the same issue.

    I already submitted a ticket via arc...is there any way to bypass arc and start the game?

    Also having the same issue. I logged into Arc, it did an update. Upon restarting it's self, Arc would no longer connect. It keeps timing out. Although, as mentioned, if I go directly to the particular game I can log in and connect just fine.

    Arc is broken.

    I am having the same issue. It's not the internet as I have several other computers and they all run, the one I am trying has other games going on.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled arc and that did not resolve the issue

    If anyone else knows of any tricks please let me know or fix it please

    Oddly one of my computers works just fine, the other for no apparent reason won't connect to ARC : \

    Internet is working fine etc, just times out connecting

    Hello there!
    Most of my faction members got the same problem, so i tried something, it works for me. After i closed ARC i cant log in again, but i can play WITHOUT ARC!
    All you need to do, create a shortcut from elementclient.exe and add startbypatcher.
    If you havent upgraded yet, better to create a shortcut from launcher.exe, and add arc:1

    Hope you can do it, if not, google it for further info!

    yep that works. the issue is with arc only, not with the game itself.

    start the game manualy trough command prompt with elementclient.exe and the key "startbypatcher"from the PWI folder. It should look like this:

    C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\PWI_en\element\elementclient.exe startbypatcher

    (ur path may be diferent)
