Greetings fellow Archonians, I am sure some of you may recognize me from around the server, I am the lovable Anri Rose, the greatest NON-factor wiz you can find.

Ok so maybe im just an ok casual wiz who knows how to blow things up. Point is as others have pointed out this forum of ours could use more than just weekly TW reports so here is my attempt to help by sharing my story as I progress to cap.
Thats right I have decided to do this the hardest way possible and not rebirth til i hit 105.

"thats crazy" you might hear yourself exclaim out loud just now, and your correct it totally is , especially for an under-geared wiz like myself, but i think if i share my story with everyone as I slog thru this it will make it a lot more fun for me.

I plan on meeting lots of people this way too hopefully.

Today before much longer I should be at 94.
Thats not a lot but at the same time its still a huge gap between that and 105.

    So I managed to ding 94 this week, mostly realming but did a few dailies. Its really nice that there are still many new people out there playing this game the same way I am.
    Anyway figures I start try-hardin and they announce this new expansion complete with
    revamped question for up to level 95

    Maybe if I wait long enough they will just bump us all to cap for free!

    I actually am happy with the progress, a little over 30% thru 94 and I want to thank LucyWyld again for the awesome gift of MUH MASTERY books. She was giving them away but only to an actually wiz and not just random ppl who said they were a wiz.

    Thanks to her I hit 5% harder with all muh spells

    Its not 5%, if I remember caster masteries right its 4%.

    Hubby I think the 5% comes from me being Sage but I dunno for sure.

    So I was just grinding some mobs and farming herbs in Lothranis today, when I noticed that the TW map has reset and just looking at all those wars about to break out.

    You think I would get any bites if I was looking for work this season, maybe I should merc myself out over global

    I believe the only newer server would be for Europe but I am not 100% on that.

    UPDATE: We are very close to 95 only less than 10% to go.

    Also its my Birthday Wish me happy birthday b:cute

    I hope it doesnt seem like a easy way out but I mean if they are handing out free exp why not use it, anyway I didnt really have a second alt ready to get plvled so using it on Rose here made sense, wow 101 , I have no clue what to do now .

    After crunching the numbers, I think I finally have a way to reach 105.

    I admire your ambitions but really you are vastly underestimating the amount of exp you need to get to 105. You should for fun have a look at the numbers.
    In practice this comes down to 1000 or so PV runs from level 100 to 105. Undergeared you might be able to do 2 a day or so. OP toons who have many alts to open do up to 8 per day usually.

    Other sources of exp pale in comparison to PV. Besides PV there is pretty much AEU which is limited to 6 runs per week and ehm nothing.... So while the journey was interesting up so far and may remain interesting until the first week after you hit 100, after that it is just a matter of doing your weekly AEUs and your getting the maximum out of your daily PVs for about 3-4 months. Some can do it faster by using an extra morai PV token and somehow getting another 8 openers, but that doesnt really make the journey any more interesting.

    I think youll have more fun setting yourself a different goal. Maybe for example doing every quest that is available before rebirthing for example. Maybe collecting every piece of fashon. I dont know, but this goal is going to dissapoint you without a doubt.
    Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

    I have a 102 wizard and I feel so outdated by all the new classes. Stupid Tideborn are our nemesis. I'm so proud that you are representing us old timers. If you need anything or just want a fellow wizzie to join your squad, I'm down any time.

    So I just wanted to let you all know im about 50% to 102 now

    Yes I AM well aware how long it takes to get to 105, doesnt hurt to have a goal ya know.

    I have been informed I might want to rb at least once and just put my book exp back if i wish to make it to 105, I will likely do this after I attain g16 armor and wpns.


    Meanwhile, Had a bit of a stroke of luck, Got a book in AEU, a certain cleric book. Magical Shackle.
    Sold that for a good chunk of coin....

    SO ya if you see me now im that Pataka wielding wizzy. I know, why pataka, i dunno it just called out to me.
    Hopefully I hit at least 102 before rebirthing that first time.

    Aww... I thought you were going to hit 105 firstb:sad. After RB the game turns easy because of cards, passives and spirit.

    I really thought about going all the way to 105 before rebirth, but the problem is that those passives you get from Primals are just too needed for me to be able to keep up not to mention they will help me get my gears and badges a lot easier.

    A quick update though: Got my first part of g16 gear. Spent a lot but I made my bracers so that is done. But I know rebirth at 102 will help me get access to a lot more dailies as well which in turn should make lvling a lot faster.

    Basically I need to rebirth to keep up these days.

    After rebirth there are a ton of quests that award 1-2 million xp. Leveling is cake. But yes, between war avatars, meridian, and primals my rebirthed psychic feels like a whole new character.
