I support the GMs And Support staff.

Congratz on being one in a million player that is totally happy with the game's management, that is IF you are a real player or just someone who likes to lie just to creat a heated battles of oppinions.

There are bits of truth in what you said; Sparky does try to give us info about the game's situation but compared to his first time with us he is slowly geting LATE into updating us. I don't know if he's to blame or his higher ups for this late reply or no info at all, but hey atleast i give the man that much credit.
You say profesionalism and promtitude in geting your problem solved? maybe your problems were easy to fix or they just got fixed by themselves anyway, or better yet there weren't real problems at all. One other may of thinking about what you said is that your problems were in the past when everything was solved faster and communication with the player base was better. Now we bareley get the info, not to mention geting it on time... it's not that often done.

Want examples? Just ask i'll give you a really long list of problems not only mine so can't beat me with the 'they did everything profesionally and fast".
PW is an interesting game and it's a pitty that the ones managing it slowly but serely are turning their backs to it while the small number of people who try to actually make a difference are either silenced or removed.

Anyway again, I'm happy that atleast SOMEONE is happy with the current affair, even if it will turn out it's just a fake. Fake hope, but still there.

I've been playing since 2009, back then the support team was amazing. They did what they were supposed to do. As the years have gone by though, I've learned to loath the perfect world support team. They ignore their customers, they don't fix stuff for years on end. Need i remind you there were at least six NPC's missing in the game for three years before they did anything about them missing. There were many, MANY broken quests as well. They have started not caring about the game itself as well.

Example? Server issues upon server issues, lets not forget that the servers were "accidentally reset" a few days ago, or the fact that the servers were down a whole day over the holidays and nothing was don't about it nor was there compensation given. On top of that all they fix in patch notes are text, new classes skills and user face junk instead of things that really need attention.

They're useless at this point and if we don't get new blood in that department soon i can see perfect world going straight into the ground because majority of the staff are lazy and twiddle their thumbs instead of doing what they're paid to do.

really kinda funny, those of us who have BEEN here know better. Support has done nothing but go downhill

I'm going to have to agree with this one.
I'll even take it a step further and provide references.

Forum was broken after the upgrade over a year ago and has not been touched since.

Should be a relatively easy fix, but they haven't bothered to look into it yet.

Well over a year ago the DQ point system was removed. Which was understandable because the system was already very buggy and had a lot of issues. The promised replacement has yet to even be discussed, much less released.

Fixes that should take moments, and could be resolved within either a maintenance cycle or by just changing two characters in a config file and restarting that particular map take literally months to get resolved.

Before it was things like forced PvP in Secret Passage, or snowmen exploding when attacked.

No offense to Sutr at all, they're a nice admin, but the patch notes is just a copy-paste of the information that Wanmei sends. It's not even complete, and sometimes not even accurate. (Which isn't Sutr's fault ofc.)

When was the last time you worked with BearClawRawr? I know for a fact that the person using that Gm account now is not the same person, and is not nearly as nice or effective as the GM who was on it a year or so ago.

In fact, when was the last time you opened a ticket on a serious issue? Not just some simple billing problem or fixing your account information, but a ticket on an actual problem in the game.

I mean, that's just off the top of my head in-between taking customer calls here at work. If I actually devoted a good 10 or 15 minutes to writing this, I could provide a minimum of 20 direct links to hard information proving just how completely PWE's support and management team have been a complete and total failure over the past year and a half.

If the OP had said that back in 2010, I might agree. Today, it's almost completely false.
And I'm the one usually backing up the PWE team....

And yet we all keep playing (or in cases like me, came back recently because of the new changes)...

Agree or disagree about the support, one thing is true. The original designers of this game were brilliant.

Territory Wars
PvP servers
Easy-to-opt-into open-world PvP on PvE servers
Complex skill system (as compared to some newer games with like 4 skills)

and now

Nation Wars
New Lands
War Avatar System
etc.


I've tried all sorts of games since leaving PWI, and they're all either a) 100% carebear or b) fun but lacking any "point" to PvP.

PWI has to port the **** that's given to them by PWE China. If you've played some other imported games, they're usually terrible. PWI does a decent job, but it would really help if they were allowed to make more significant coding changes here. Unfortunately it seems PWE does not allow that, so PWI can just do language translation and tweak the publicly-exposed configuration settings of the server.

It's not an easy job, so I do appreciate what they do, even if their track record isn't very good. b:shutup

Just to clarify this...

"PWI" is just our version of the game. It's published by PWE.
"PWE" does not do any of the development. They do some minimal testing on a patch before it is distributed, but that's it. PWE can not touch the files on the servers. Any changes they want are submitted to the parent company, Wanmei.

Wanmei developers make all the changes. They are also the ones that do things like give us the wrong file so that our TW times are messed up, or send us the incorrect configuration data file for a map that makes PvP forced in Secret Passage.
You might also not be aware that the original game in China is entirely PvP, they do not have PvE servers. That is something special for our version.

the staff hasnt done much though..really please do start a list and compare it to any professionally run mmo (without naming names ofc)

u must play a different game

Ive never seen a support staff that is so disconnected from their own community to the point where there is no community outside of the game itself, the forum is moderated by random players and most community related threads just get moved into some subforum no one ever goes to, not to mention when u send a ticket the person responding doesnt even understand the game himself and u have to go through 3 or 4 different ppl before someone from support can actually help. And if there is something wrong with the game they will still hold u responsible for things u may have lost and are in no way willing to offer any help, you could probably get better support on a private server, then again in a way this is a private server since PWE has pretty much no connection with the actual game devs

I couldnt of said it better. I was over at Pw malaysia when I got a invite to try out cb here at pwi. My questions have always been answered within the week and I have never had a problem with any of them. You wanna see BAD STAFF go play Malaysia. This is like a Garden of Eden compared to that.

I'm sorry, but all of your posts of late reek of brown-nosing of the worst sort. The staff and support of PWI has been getting more and more disconnected over time since when I joined...

I can remember when I first started moderating, and FrankieRaye was here... Any time of the day or night, I could let him know something was up, he would be on the forums within an hour to post in a thread or help me take care of an issue.

There was even one time where I had something like 3 admins, 2 other moderators, and myself up almost an entire night dealing with a troll who had decided to target me specifically. It wasn't even a game issue, but they cared enough about what was going on that they were continually banning accounts and deleting threads all night - even though they had to work again the next day.

Since then, I've watched the staff who care about PWI slowly but surely move away from it, whether by choice or otherwise...

It's sad, but that's the reality of an older game: Not as much time or effort is going to be invested in it.
