Corrupted Ape level 7 342 571 [ Monkey Baby Pet Egg ]

    if you are sage trow soul degen at them it will lower 25% of the HP :D

    also i found 2other monkeys east of the spawn area , they both look the same with dif colors

    Also, bramble yourself and hit tame on mellee pets.

    On parrot, i took off all gear and boxed a parrot with Increased Defense.

    Last option is to ask a local lowbie to attack one for you.

    Or: tame a somewhat higher level pet to use to attack it.
    Get a lower level veno to tame it.

    I have to admit I'm quite surprised they actually added a couple of tame-able monsters.
    I thought they stopped bothering with that outside "special" pets like the Derjan's Hatchling or new CS pets.

    Has anyone tamed them yet to check if they can evolve?

    No ok, the parrot is hypercute!! b:dirty I don't care if it won't evolve, it's pure cuteness! The two lemur-like monkey are pretty enough, the green-faced one is horrible, expexially considering the beautiful of bloodwolves and the jungle leopard (which is more like a snow leopard but close enough).

    I have found only 1 monkey, can you give name and coordinates on the other monkey, and also on the wolf and leopard?

    How many tameble pets is there in total in expansion, 3, 4, 5?

    Level 3 Dusk Monkey
    Level 17 Skydrifter Parrot tames to Level 3 Wandering Parrot

    The Berrywood and Dusk Monkeys have the same model, and are very cute, as is the Wandering Parrot. Monkey Baby is a bit meh for me.

    The growth charts are either unimpressive or not done for all of these pets.

    Is it just me or did the Petite Sawfly level up from 8 to 83 now? Outside bamboo village... Or was it another bee that was low level?

    It was definitely the Petite Sawfly. While other mobs in the area are now 2x, that one's 83 (even says 83 as starting level on the 89 'fly on one of my alts. Haven't checked the really low level alt venos that might have sub-83 'flys.)

    The Ultimate Pet List is going to need a major overhaul.

    They seem really crappy, but they're so darn cute!
    I've been waiting for a parrot since I started playing years ago and I saw the image with a parrot on ecatomb.
    I really like the bigger ape too, it's really cute, in a spooky way.
    My parrot's 61 now.

    they do not evolve, do they? is sawfly still best choice for flying pet if I cannot afford harpy or phoenix?

    The Berrywood Monkey stats at 95 hits harder then a Walker.
    Patk3602 @ 0.60/sec.
    Has more Mdef but less Pdef.
    Less HP but a little faster.

    Too bad it wont evolve.

    I am leveling up a parrot atm to see how it stacks up with Sawflys/Skates.

    Replying to MochiBean's concern: Consider a genie used specifically for taming with level 1 skills that do only a little damage. For example, I used level 1 genie earthquake to tame the land monkey pets (had a few angry monkeys smacking me since it's an aoe attack, hehe). If I ever find the airborne parrot, maybe the level 1 genie gale skill or similar weak attack will do. :)

    can someone please tell me where this dusk monkey and berrywood monkey are...? like the quest says violet sunshine alley ... but where the EFF is that ? cant find it anywhere in the forum and the auto path just takes me to the telleporters

    ........ yes i read the first post which gives the co-orrdinates for the corrupted ape and the parrot not the dusk monkey and berrywood monkey

    Dusk Monkey/ Berrywood Monkey...... not the same thing as Corrupted Ape.... And I just went back and looked thinking I must have missed it after reading it twice... and felt completely stupid for a second....
    But nope ! Maybe you should have read the question fully before being rude?

    The monkey I need is required for the first few veno pet skills.... When I played before it was scorpians ( changed now i guess)

    If it is the same then maybe someone can say that .... because the questline doesnt tell me to go after the corrupted ape?

    For thoes who are returning players who had low level characters and cannot complete quests.... go to the telleporter and choose return to celestial vale ... youll be telleported to the new starting area ... this is also where you can find the Dusk and Berrywood monkey for the veno quest.
    Took me a bit but after returning a year later I had a level 2 veno i decided to start leveling up when i logged in i was in lost city and unable tofind the monsters and NPC's I needed and had trouble figuing out what this new starting area was... Well there you go ..

    Got the parrot to 100 already (yey for feral soul stars), and the stats are surprisingly good:
    hp- 2758
    phys attack- 3975
    phys resist- 6528
    mag. res.- 7833
    accuracy- 2340
    evade- 1337

    A bit less than the bee on the phys def and attack, but more tanky for magic attacks, it's a nice contender for non-evolved flying pets.

    at 95 both the Berry Wood Monkey and the Parrot have the same stats ... i am guessing that all the new pets have same Profile.

    I was wrong ... the Monkey Baby is close in stats but has less than 1/3 the atk at 95. 978 vs 3602.

    The Dusk Monkeys and Berrywood Monkeys can both be found at 350, 525 outside of the Heroes' Terrace. b:pleased

    Just finished getting the giant monkey to 100, I really loved how it looks. I have to say it makes the sawfly seem like a tank and a glacial look like a DD, it sucks really, really bad:
