How do I turn my r8 Bow into r8rr?

    unless u can find a guild that actually does trials u'll have to farm nation wars and exchange tokens/coin for mats for first recast the 2nd recast is done through sand maze whatevernv3isalreadybetter instance. . .

    also takes longer and is more effort than it is worth

    its been that way since r9 came out

    Another, possibly cheaper option:
    - Make a G15 Nirvana stage 2 bow (TT version is easy-ish to make. Dragonbow -> G15).
    - Do Undercurrent Hall a few times. Trade UCH coins for those Dragon Stones (the expensive ones, the red ones can just be picked up - players rarely want those)
    - Upgrade the TT G15 bow to R8R at Cromagnon Village (Crimson Officer Zhen)

    The R8R to R8RR conversion requires you to run the Quicksand Maze. I don't have information on that instance yet.

    What are the advantages of r8r Bow over g16?


    I just saw in pw.database that it costs 80m

    G16 bow can't get purge or the large chunk of defense level.

    Also R8R bow looks better depending on the character.

    Purge = Spirit Blackhole?

    Is purge that good to equalize the attack levels g16 has?

    Yup. As for the value of purge, it depends. In general, no not really... but the only thing people fear about archers in PvP nowadays is purge. Of course, the caveat is that if you're not in a R9 bow or outgearing your opponent, you won't be doing much damage to them even after purge thanks to a lack of attack levels so.... yeah. Kinda screws you over no matter which path you go down.

    If you're just looking for a purge bow to switch to for purging targets, may as well make a g15 Nirvana bow and roll until you get Spirit Blackhole. Cheaper.

    Can't decide between the purge and attack levels of g16..
    Both is useful.

    Get both, you can switch between them. G16 with attack lvls and r8r with purge. Cheaper alternative as Eoria mentioned is G15 Nirvana but you may have to reroll it a few times as the odds of getting Blackhole on that is like 2% iirc.

    I have an r9rr bow for damage/purge and r8r with 30+ def lvls for tanking flag captures in Nation Wars or trolling and aesthetics.

    R8rr doesn't seem worth the time investment for me, as it seems like you need to do 100s of runs of Quicksand maze for one extra stat line on the wep so in my case I could get 5 more def lvls.

    Though if it's smexy I may be tempted.
