It'll increase your survivability to a degree (especially with refines), and the cut to your overall damage wont be too great at first, but it'll be notable down the line, as the strength requisites to maintain the build increases.

Having a good Tome or using the stats from Reawakening can help with maintaining it if you're adamant about running that build, though (but again, thats more points that could have gone towards furthering your Dexterity). Outside of having better survivability within a hooful of situations, I don't really see a need for that build tbh.

Kitty once calculated how going HA affects on LA-classes. She ended up with about 30-35% less damage taken as full T3 and 15-20% less damage done. Going HA also gives some HP(at +5-refines about 1k moar) from higher refining factor. Given LA's general squishiness Kitty finds HA quite balancing, especially in PVE-stuff, but also in PVP.

When Kitty fought against equal-geared LA-counterparts on her HA-sin, Kitty made about triple damage compared to damage they did on Kitty's sin. But that 1 damage multiplier(equals to sage weapon mastery vs no weapon mastery) less makes it harder(or in some cases, impossible) to kill other HAs. Though it also makes it harder for them to get heavy-armored squishie down.

In short: Going HA takes off some edge needed to win, but it's also harder to lose.

so your saying at higher levels it would make such a big difference in damage ? or is the damage part negligible if you have higher refines on ur wep ?

    thanks

Depends. YMMV for PvP, but PVE-wise, you could easily get away with it since its not hard to outgear most challenges, even with an alternative build. Refines will help, so will cards/nuema, titles, ect can help make up for any damage/survivability loss between builds (to a degree).

There's also the question of whether you're going for Rank 9 and beyond, since you'll be capped at a NV3 set/mix otherwise.

You can always try playing an alternative build till 100 and restatting back to LA if you don't like it with a Reawakening, anyway.
