i also do want to thank the csers because without them i wouldn't have this kind of opportunity to play the game i feel its one of the best online games i've ever played.
Thank you for this statement. PWI is a company, if they don't make money we don't have a game to play. It is as simple as that. Should they have put gear straight into the cash shop? They shouldn't have imo. Did endgame items in packs only hurt the game? Yes. But without the cash option this game would have closed it's servers down long ago
in reality there's really no new players online in RT, most of the newer players were either screamed at because you had no clue what you were doing, or were told how to play their game.
To be honest there are more new people to the game than you think. I am not going to say they are coming in droves but they are around. There are also factions that are new people friendly believe it or not. So while it is hard for new players to get into this game it is not impossible. They are just going to have to work at it a bit harder that some of us had to.0 -

Not really, a new player has tons of ways to update and gear up unlike old school ppl. See free gears till lvl 40, molds being dropped even by mobs in BH instances and so on. Lazyness doesn't get rewarded in any field, why it would be in a video game?0 -

Well I was really talking about endgame gear. Yes for lower levels you get gear handed to you these days while before that you needed to farm TT. I was talking about endgame refines and shards. While you can still get them, inflation has made them cost more so someone new to the game would have to work a bit harder to get them. Same could be said for getting anything that cost gold. It is more expensive now to get r9 with coins since it is worth less that it was a few years ago. I agree with you that lazyness should not be rewarded but you have to admit at least the time frame for getting to endgame has increased.0 -

i think there are more ways now to make coins than before, where you had only Nirvana or TT. Players have no clue how to make coins, they just want to be well geared very fast, for that. there are private servers, i'd say they should go there. Sure gold cap doesnt allow you to buy gold fast even if you merch, but it's not impossible. Get +10 is beyond ease with all of these promotions, G10 free shards are very good, A cards are not hard to get and fairly competitive against 90% of the players on RT.

Other than that... the heck are you doing on your barb? You have better gears than I do and you're WHINING how the mean OP players stomp you down everywhere? You're WHINING about being spawnkilled - where, in NW? Move the hell outta spawn then.
I'm not afraid of going against greater opponents, locking them down, purging them, being a general annoyance until they either finish me off or my allies get the opportunity to take them down.

Yes, a good way to figure out how to give a good damage. Ofcourse, the mob doesn't fight back and players do. Maybe Tony's internet connection is laggy during PK only. Don't worry Tony, I can resurrect you at most places (cannot enter Morai and Primal yet but working on it)

Anyone with little understanding of the game mechanics knows that dealing damage against a defenseless mob is completely different than it is against other players, which does not only depend on their defense but also spirit, def levels and so on.

Well here is your answer: cause as much trouble as possible to your opponents. The test dummy can help with it, just by trying different skills. Anyone could have been 1-shotted once in the past. Good gear isn't very helpful to a player if that player doesn't know how to cause some trouble. But as I read it from here Tony just have too much haters on RT server. By having that, it wouldn't be fun to play on that server, right? Give Tony (another) chance.
O, and about the moron thingy when it comes to your damage Column, we are not talking about the highest rank and/or damage at Smooth Antoine. We are talking about learning skills without the fun of doing quests or helping others. Tony could try to solo Phoenix Valley a few times too or just start a toon on Harshlands and learn PvP there if he don't like the test dummy. And sure, there are people on Raging Tide with good gear and all sockets filled with expensive ****. It can be fun to kill them however we should not cry if we got killed ourselves.
Then about Tony's "server is dead" rage. Anyone who writes this should be checking other games. But I don't think Tony will do that. Isn't it time for Tony to write a reply?0 -

Yes, anyone can get 1-shotted, even the endgame top geared players Tony named there, hence his QQing is utterly pointless. Those players worked for what they have now.
As for using test dummy for pvp mechanics... No.It is only viable for basic damage combos and even then very misleading.
No-one needs to go to Harshlands to learn PVP skills, all one needs is friends to do that with. One also needs to learn to accept the fact that ANYONE can come for you in PVP at any time, there are no set rules when someone can attack you and when not. There comes a time when you just burn out on something. Move on, it works... I'm playing Wiz****101 where, for $10 per month, I can farm any gear, ride, pet, housing that I want and participate in the test realm testing new worlds before they go live. You can even PK, which is level based. Or, AirTh****er, where you earn planes and tanks which are level rated... FTP or spend cash to speed up the process or buy planes/ tanks. Either way, both are skill based games over cash spent. I'm sure there are other games that may also fit your needs... To each their own.

I have CSed quite a lot of money into PWE over the years and i know my class...there goes your entire argument out the window. You have NO life man...all you do is QQ all day about CSing and how bad of a player ALL CSers are like you are any good. You rage and quit squads cuz you don't like how things are going and you cant do shizz in game worth mentioning other then your WC QQing about CSers. I say a mod needs to just close this thread cuz its gonna get flamed and you are a waste of breath. I completely agree. I have been in sqaud with him in fs and at drake he didnt like how people played and so he quit the sqaud and left us stranded. Thats not saying a lot about him. I know how to play my class and I dont spend 24/7 farming. In fact when im online im usually afk cause im in college0 -

TLDR - Come join in the fun on PvE servers. Prices are high but blue shield means no unsolicited PvP is forced on you. If PvP servers end up dying because of the gear gap and playerbase drain, I see that as no big loss.I'm so P.R.O... I Press Respawn Often.

Almost nothing has changed in the past few years and people are just now starting to take this issue seriously? OPKossy is right. Raging Tide was built on the Boutique. A lot of people rolled new characters on RT and dropped serious cash to stay ahead of the curve. Yes, this game is technically free to play, but if you want to hit endgame (and not take what feels like forever getting there) then you're either spending money or farming for countless hours to buy from people who are. You call the cash-shoppers stupid, idiotic, moronic, and brainless (see: redundant). I'm not inclined to disagree, but the same could be said about anyone who expected anything different from a free-to-play model. How do you think the companies keep those game running? You think the servers are free just because the game is? No. They get your money through microtransactions. Do you even economics? I'd give up this crusade.
