Hey all,
We were supposed to have maintenance today, since Tuesday was a holiday, but we had a few issues. Due to that, we won't be having a maintenance this week.

Sparkie, I have supported you in multiple cases and maybe this is not your fault either. To be honest, you are one, if not the best, CM we had.
But this time it was kind of crossing the line. It confirms the suspicions we have been having that nobody cares about this game anymore. The servers have been experiencing issues and lag spikes and we don't even get a reset? I'm sorry but it's now very very clear that PWE no longer cares for PWI.
Anyway, thanks for everything you do Sparkie.

Why not Wednesday? Because Wednesday was the day after the holiday.
Why not Thursday? Because Thursday was 2 days after the holiday.
Why not Friday? Because they might **** it up and they don't want to go to work on the weekend :O

Look sparkie, I know that your probably overworked on the other games you have to manage and other **** they give and all, but could you at the very least write a memo in your notes to give us a heads up on if maintenance will be happening or not before its a three day late post?
Even I still keep in touch with my bosses on my days off to make sure they know what was been happening in my dept if they haven't worked the same days as me so I don't have communication problems with them.
It may be vic versa, but even talking to the community on the forums on your days off, even if it's a few posts in random subjects as well as important ones (provided you may talk about it) can make people feel a bit better so they know at least you make some time for them. I'm not asking you to put it ahead of your real life by the way.

Sparkie as you should be able to tell, you are very well recieved by the PWI community. Everyone likes you and you have done a great job as a CM for the game. I personally know none of this is your fault and I am sure many others agree.
With that being said, MANY of the people here on forums and others I know in game are quite fed up with the half *** care we get for PWI. I don't personally know what you can do about it if anything but there are a plethora of issues people are having and it's gotten really bad. I can't speak for other servers but i can say that Raging Tide is very very quiet compared to a year ago. The servers World Chat goes quiet for long amounts of time and forming a squad even for 100+ instances is a pain. Hackers seem to be finding new ways to assualt and steal and we hear of this more and more. We have botched maintenances regularly and server crashes/huge lag spikes. The PWI community is beginnig to truly become irrate with PWE's lack of care for our game. I see it in the forum posts and the rants in game every day. At this point we really need something to keep us going and give us hope that this game is not on it's last leg.
Is there ANYTHING you can possibly do to help us? Maybe finally an official announcement on the next HUGE expansion, or SOMETHING telling us that "Hey, we know things are tough but we are here stilll." I do not believe this is asking too much and I am aware you can't give PWI Forums as much of your TLC you used to since PWE made you work on other forums and games too, (a really low blow to us if i must say myself) but at this point we almost require something of this nature. As of right now I am not putting another penny into the game until I get some kind of reassurance that PWE still really gives a **** about us, which means i probably won't ever put money in again but so be it.
Give us a bone sparkie please.

At this point, with how frugal and on a 'yes/no basis' he has been posting for the past few weeks, I'm starting to doubt it's even him posting anymore and not a random person logging in his account.
He used to give a damn and answer back, now we get nothing but a generic first post in a thread and that's it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I'm sure that sparkie is pleased that his reward for passing on the tiny tidbits of news he is given is received with such love and respect. I can't imagine why he wouldn't be responding to every one of your concerns right away. I mean, with such supportive comments such as these how could you stay away?

Dude, trying to give a GM bits of advice is not a bad thing thing. Especially with a community like this. Don't get me wrong, he's been great with getting codes out and all, it's a nice thing to have. But sometimes nothing is better for CM then to sit down and just talk with players.
I will give you an example of a company that does a great job of listening to their player base, and damn I wish I could say the freakin company's name (stupid forum rules)....... All the devs and CMs do is talk with the players on the forums or even answer their questions on twitter or twitch, and the player base loves them for it. Sure you still get the bad eggs once and awhile, but the majority of the people are great. The big thing is that they have more staff......something PWE is sorely lacking in.....

I'm going with the assumption that PWI treats the poor **** they put in that position like a mushroom - keep them in the dark and feed 'em manure. So I tend to give them a lot of slack, and ask for whatever information they can give.
And I *don't* blame them when their bosses don't tell them ****. "Giving them advice" is pointless. They *know* we ask questions they can't/won't answer and it's not up to the CM to decide what we hear, or demand the devs/corporate types answer our questions/do what we want.

I'll have an official announcement coming up within the next week or so about the new expansion. As you can imagine, we've been pretty busy getting everything ready for this expansion, in hopes that we can give you all the information you guys deserve.
As for the maintenance this week, I was never given any solid date on when we could actually do it (since the holidays threw everything out of the loop). Unfortunately, when I made the post (right before I posted it), that was the only time I was really sure it wasn't even going to happen, since I had originally started that post to state that the maintenance was going to start Thursday. Once I started though, I was told that it wouldn't happen because there was a server error on our side and China. So because of all that, I had to change my post to "No maintenance". It sucks, and I wish I could have known earlier to let you guys all know, but I had to go off what I was given. Unfortunately, that wasn't a whole lot.0 -

tbh PWE does overwork its staff this is common knowledge. When Sparkie was doing the stream on twitch for the charity he looked exhausted and well im sure he is trying his best so c'mon pwi community cut the poor guy some slack least he is trying0

Thanks Sparkie for letting us know even if it was a bit late. Most of us realize they work you guys so hard. I have to say though you are the first CM i have seen in a long time that actually tries hard to keep us all in the loop. Don't let them get ya down. Keep your chin up. I've had ARC since it was in late beta and my 5 year old laptop has had no problem whatsoever.
Also, most large gaming companies now have a launcher like ARC (cough-Ignite-cough) in order to centralize all of their games.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I appreciate ya too Sparkie things have been tons better in the past year because of you but there is still an ongoing feeling of PWI being neglected.
Sometimes I worry that they will randomly shut down the game with a last minute warning
Anyway is there a reason why there has not been any proper weekly codes? I know you gave out a code from the charity event and last week there was a code 'as a thank you for the support over the years' but surely these would be bonuses and not a replacement for the weekly codes we very much look forward to o.o not meaning to sound ungrateful I just wana know whats going on here lol.0 -
