Why I Left PWI

Dear PWI and those I left behind,
One month ago, give or take, I left PWI. I had a good guild, Start over, I had an assassin character that I loved that was 102, 101, 101.
But then I discovered that I missed something basic, sitting around in the game and talking to people.
Faction bases are huge buildings with things spread out all over and no where to sit to talk with friends. No bars, no inns, nothing where people can virtually sit and talk.
Just thought I would mention it. Its nice to be able to sit somewhere with your faction mates.

For talking to your guildies there's the faction channel. But yea, a "sit and roleplay" element isn't really present in this game. It's a **** and slash type MMO, not a real RPG.I'm so P.R.O... I Press Respawn Often.

You know... you don't really need an inn to get together with friends. In morai (no idea other servers), there are some people that do that while standing in south archosaur. They chat in the normal chat and from what I can read, they also have a lot of fun...0

Seems some people lack creativity to spend time with in-game friends. And to make friends in game.

- Quests don't give XP.
- You have to grind the DayJob quest for money each day.
- Mounts cost upkeep. Fast ones cost a lot.
- If you cheat you are tempbanned to jail.
- No flying :-(

No, faction base doesn't have something like that. Though it wouldn't be too bad...
But if you truly wanted to gather somewhere with your game friends and talk, there's plenty of places with furniture, chairs, even damn sofas and book shelves... and carpets. Some are less known, some are right under your nose, some take a little searching to discover. But they exist.

Well, I believe that housing would have been wonderful to everyone. Sadly we will never benefit from that. It's also true that a faction base doesn't look much like a place to gather and have a drink (it's a base after all, not a tavern). b:surrender
There are cool and safe places in this game to relax though, especially because too many people have forgotten to stop a little and take it easy. Just don't mind the possible passerby.
Faction, room or party chat is great for private talk as well. But of course you will not find the equivalent of a gathering room in PWI and its possible peaceful chit-chat.Maintenance time. Please choose a line:
- When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
- Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
- New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
- When will we get new content? QQ
- Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
- I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.

But really, OP has a point, when I heard about faction bases when it first introduced and before digging more into it and finally experienced it, how I pictured it was a map with building and beautiful environment where we could chat, duel, discuss faction matters without interference from random players passing by, or even minigames, not a map with a layout like + b:chuckle0

Really, finding lonely places to hang out at is not that hard even without the base and in fact I'd prefer some of them. For example:
- Run TT 3-x with faction, hang out in the instance after you're done there. All those sofas, piano,library and stuff!
- A certain area in Morai is very fun to hang out at for higher levels, also a nice area in Tellus City that many people don't seem to know
- Certain glitches in Arch... spy other people from there b:chuckle
- Many villages are pretty and not overpopulated
- Or you could go hang out in Realm and see if everyone are able to find youLeader of Cyanure on Valonsurma and a proud member of Vertu

The faction base needs more work its just as empty.Also it needs a new location instead of some shabby NPC and it also needs a teleport scroll like morai orders have,and besides trials I think all base quest should be in the base itself and not on the map.0

You forgot one thing
- in PWI, people can **** your account if you're not carefull and gave away your info. In real life, that wont happen, unless you sold your info to a demon and have a demonic possesion episode b:shocked
Hospital for respawn is like......rebirthing? b:sad Soon someone will camped hospitals to get cheap .....I better stop b:chuckle

Teeechnically, your IRL "account" is just as susceptible to hacking - Identity theft is a big problem. PWI also has a distinct lack of bathrooms. Even the npc houses are way too small to actually live in.0 -
It would be nice if there was stuff to do in the base still other then just BQ. I know you can do faction base trials but honesly thats way out dated. I seen theres alot inside a base and side portals with other portals in it. Where alot could be added and changed in it. Personaly i would love to hae a area in Base where we can Pk but with 0 Drops or Exp LOSS. Where even if your on a PVE server u can still take in the fun without going in to PK mode. Honestly it would be a EPIC twist and would get people more in to gearing up more to kill more faction members ( All out of fun not for rageness or what not ) But theres alot that can be done with the Base. Now i have played Forsaken World ( owned by the same people here ) in there Base they have alot more that can be done. You can go in other people base and PK. You can also hang out by a campfire and just chill talk to friends and gain exp. And there base are HUGE very nice i would love to have our bases look like that there amazing for the base layout.0

I know alot of undergeared people that would like to pk but dont wanna go in to pk mode because they know theres alot of high geared people that will 1 shot them. If we had a area inside of the base where we could just have fun and pk with no exp loss and no item drops with out having to use G/S i think that it would bring more people in to wanting to have fun with pk.

I do think the faction base is under utilised, it would be batter if you could more things in the base and more things together as a faction group involving the base. Lots of money/resources go into making the bases they should be of more use. I've stopped coming online at this point. I never bounced back from something that happened to me(in RL and in the game) a little over 4 years ago.
That and the community isn't the same anymore. Like a glass box, with me, and those like me, outside of it.0 -

This game isn't designed with the same philosophy as the game's you are referencing (Crafting of Wars and Worlds, and Wars with some Guilds deuce). This is a Chinese/asian market MMO, which relies heavily on either dropping cash in the game to get stuff, farming like crazy to get stuff, or merchanting to get stuff. The result? There is no need to sit and relax, because in Chinese MMOs it's pretty typical to farm, farm, farm.
Role-playing isn't unique thing. A lot of games allow you to sit your character or relax in a pub. If you are seriously quitting because you can't sit and relax in a pub or chair/bed, then you obviously have different priorities than most of the players in-game on all versions of PW.
Besides, you can still sit and relax in the other MMOs, on other virtual sim games, and in real life.I host an Ecatomb mirror here: ecatomb.gdevtalk.net
