Anniversary Codes Week 3 [All Codes Listed]

Quick question why shoudnt the people who have been here 5+ years be rewarded OVER the rest who hasnt ? Honestly Yes they should only ones who can conplain about that is the ones who havnt. I Still dont care !!!! With the Crappy Set up and job this year they did they should have just skipped it .
I've been here 5+ years. Unlike you, I dont think that entitles me as being better or more deserving than anyone else simply because I created an account 5 years before someone else.
Whatever floats your boat, though.
I'm quite happy with the majority of the stuff they handed out this year (which incidentally, is way better than the many, many anniversary mounts I have from the last 5 years). And the stuff I didn't care for, know what I did about that? Nothing. Just didn't redeem the code. I'm sure other people liked that stuff though.0 -
Also to quote myself for the self-entitled people who want to BAAAAAAAAAAAAW about the Unicorn still and how these rewards suck and how we're getting the same thing and so on and so forth:We've been getting the same reward every year for five years with one random recolored mount thrown in for each new year. If we had continued the same system as we were using before, this year would be:
Year 1 people get flaming hellhound.
Year 2 people get goldfish fash + year 1
Year 3 people get purple fox + year 1/2
Year 4 people get red boa + year 1/2/3
Year 5 people get green unicorn + year 1/2/3/4
Year 6 people get (insert recolored mount or maybe fash here) + year 1/2/3/4/the unicorn from 5 they can't use on the same chars they redeemed it on last year anyways.
These are the facts. You may not like them but that's how they are. Deal with it.
Edit: Yes, I'm aware I sound like an *** here. But some people don't get it and need to have the facts beat into their skulls repeatedly for some reason. To those of you who simply didn't know/weren't aware, take no offense as these posts aren't directed towards you.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
I'm gonna break this up because seriously.
Guess what while you're so pissed off about that? If we had kept up the same cycle as every other year where the rewards were oh-so-much-better according to you... we'd have STILL got that jade cosmos mount! Only it would have been part of a bundle that ALL goes to one character instead of us getting to choose which character to send it and only it to on an individual basis. Oh and those of us who remembered last year would have still known not to send it to the same two characters (or 1 if you weren't a 5 year vet) we redeemed it on back then.
But no, you're throwing a hissy-fit over something we'd have had anyways but that these new people who weren't even around last year to know the result of couldn't have stopped because they didn't know. Real awesome job there. Go ahead and ignore common sense in favor of unjustified rage.
Maybe to someone who can't appreciate anything it was junk. To the rest of us who don't want to stupidly demand **** we know they can't reasonably give like guaranteed S cards, 10m big notes, or whatever other absurd rewards you're thinking of, it's still nice to have. Oh and we all are aware we have the option of not redeeming the stuff we don't want too. Hypers? Not Junk. Profundity Scrolls? Awesome for reawakened players. Bloods? Absolutely fantastic and totally useful for getting our Primal skills. War Avatar Packs? More chances at decent cards is gonna be a plus even if it's not a guaranteed (insert rank here) card. Literally the only thing with questionable use is the Maiden-Kissed Chest... and even THAT is nice to have for any lowbies that just need a small boost. Oh and let's not forget all the event gold and charms that are always useful to have. Or do you want to purposefully ignore those because you know that those alone utterly destroy your argument?
And yet, to you, that's all "thoughtless junk" that's "worse than every anniversary so far" even though NO anniversary til now has given us items that weren't vanity ones. Or do you think that four mounts (one of which is only 10.0 when maxed) and a fashion set for 5 year veterans is a totally SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME reward that's totally useful ingame and better than everything we've had this year? Because if you do, then that alone speaks volumes.
Oh boo-freaking-hoo. Sparkie looked at his limited list and tried to get us the best he could out of it but just because he's taken a personal initiative to give us codes for free stuff every week this suddenly makes the items less useful? He's already mentioned he's limited in what he can do and has even tried to change things within his capabilities as a direct response to feedback. Yet here you are whining that he's not giving us **** he likely can't give and somehow deciding that him trying to make us have something extra every week (which he DOES NOT have to do and is extra work on him) suddenly devalues the stuff he gives us. But sure, keep biting the hand that feeds you. That's a great way to show appreciation for him going out of the way and convince him to keep doing so.
Oh wait... biting the hand that feeds you tends to have the exact opposite effect doesn't it? Oh well!
Yeah. That's totally why everyone who was here last year should have had at least 1 Jade Cosmos... even though that was supposed to be the reward for the 5 year vets but instead the code was given to EVERYONE at the end. But sure, we'll go with your fantasy version of how the codes from before were always working 100% well and we never had people getting rewards they weren't supposed to and how PWI didn't decide to give everyone the "exclusive" 5-year rewards. Because clearly your fantasy is how things happened. Clearly.
Make up your mind, bro. Either this year's rewards are TOTAL JUNK!1!!!!!!shiftoneone and every other year's stuff was better, or you know for a fact you're completely wrong. Oh and for extra hilarity, you wanna suddenly switch to how the vets got stuff newer players didn't. Yet you also want to complain about the Jade Cosmos that the vets would have received again under the past system... except with the previous system they wouldn't have been able to at least put on an alt because it'd be part of a package that would ALL be sent to one character!
You keep on trying to feel entitled and ignoring any form of common sense to make your rant. I'll look at the facts and realize that, objectively, this has been our most rewarding anniversary with the most useful batch of things we've ever had.
Only reason we get stuff on a weekly basis is for 1 thing and 1 thing only ... They took away the DQ stystem promissing a new better one and did not develer but instead Gave up a Bot ( that made everything shoot up in price because people constenly botted ) so then they take away botting no they added earning time !!! So people are limented on if they wanna farm how much they can do. As far as the actual Old MOUNTS they all sucked but atleast it was nice to see who had been here for how long.0 -
Only reason we get stuff on a weekly basis is for 1 thing and 1 thing only: they took away the DQ system, promising a new and improved one but did not deliver; instead they implemented auto-cultivation (that made everything shoot up in price because people consistently botted) but then they take away the auto-cultivation—no, they added earning time! So people are limited on how much they can farm now. As far as the actual OLD MOUNTS they all sucked but at least it was nice to see who had been here for how long.
Be grateful we ARE getting the free weeklies. They could have just ignored us. .-. 'sides, the weekly codes have turned out to be more useful than the old DQ system (for me, anyway). Based on what the other veterans have posted, this year's anniversary has been pretty fruitful—especially if you take in consideration all of the free items we've gotten from the promos that have coincided with the anniversary. If you're so unhappy with the way things are handled, find another MMO to focus on and keep PWI on the side.
For the most part, not everyone will consider the Maiden-Kissed Chests junk. Just because you don't find favor in something doesn't mean another person won't. Since that elusive butterfly pet keeps escaping me, I personally am satisfied with this gift letting me have another go. So thanks to sparkie.0 -
Last year everyone received all the same stuff. IT was at that time last year that we discovered that the mounts couldn't be used on the same character since some people received it twice. It would've been nice for them to remind us but the CM is brand new and didn't have this experience. Sure there are experienced staff on board he could have asked but he's new to the anniversary thing, cut him some slack. Everyone who is new makes mistakes and the problem with that code is unique to that item, none of the other item codes work that way. And YOU didn't remember either apparently, although you'd of known this if you were here last year because this issue came up twice. Once when they gave the code to everyone, and another when that MMO site had a few of them and it was brought up again.
The reason everyone last year received the stuff is because the email system glitched and an overwhelming number of people didn't receive what they were supposed to receive. Since so many people's rewards were screwed up they just gave out everything to everyone and announced at that time they weren't doing things the same way again. So you shouldn't have been expecting the same song and dance this year as last year anyway. It's been two years since we had play time tiered rewards.
Last year we got
Anniversary Mount (mostly Vanity)
Anniversary Fashion (mostly Vanity)
Purple Fox (mostly Vanity)
Doom stare (mostly Vanity, not even 11 mps)
Jade gift box (some of us got this x2, but most couldn't use it x2 because of the can only be used once per character issue that none of knew about.)
Which gives
Hypers x 10 (useful for leveling)
Teleport Stone x4 (useful item to quickly get somewhere after finishing an instance)
Jade Cosmos (mostly vanity)
Gold Spirit Charm (useful for mana)
Gold Guardian Charm (useful for health)
Quiz Event and Assault on Archo
For a total of 1 item that wasn't just vanity or mostly just vanity. I admit mounts do have some use but for most people it's just a vanity item. The one item being the jade gift box.
This year we got
Profundity Scroll x4 (useful for leveling)
Primordial Blood x3 (useful for acquiring skills)
War Avatar Pack A x2 (useful for obtaining gear)
Maiden Kissed Chests x15 (mostly utility items good for buff potions or fantasy fruit for levelling. Has a small chance to contain pure vanity all class pet.)
Anniversary Mount (mostly vanity)
VIP Platinum Charm Ticket
which contains
90 day head fashion (vanity)
Platinum guardian charm (useful for health)
Demon/Sage Event Card (mostly utility item good for refine aids and charms.)
Jade Gift Box (many didn't get to open it because they forgot about how it could only be opened once since that was information was so minor and only made available a year ago.)
Quiz Event, Assault on Archo, Two brand new events with mostly useful items as the prizes. The event with the timed gear as prizes was admittedly mostly useless. I'm sure some people probably managed to put them to good use but like I didn't count the mounts as particularly useful I won't count that.
In addition to all that, even though they were already giving away all those items. They still ran two promotional stunts and continued doing their weekly giveaways. Since we had the anni giveaways they didn't have to do the weekly ones.
So we got
Another VIP Platinum Crown Ticket
5x Hypers
Dreamchaser Pack
(in addition to orbs and gear really only good for lowbies, it gives buff pills, teleport incense, teleport stones, wings [good for people using the free ones from the level 30 quest], teles which are good for anyone. And exp necks, phoenix valley tokens which are good for lowbies and people rebirthing.)
2 more demon/sage event card tickets
Eternal Love Fashion. A fashion set that has sold for quite a bit of money for them for a long time and was one of the most popular but expensive and elusive sets, although it has aye it has no use and is pure vanity.
This year there was a total of 7.5 useful items. The useful items were the profundity scroll, bloods, avatar packs, maiden kissed chests, vip platinum crown ticket, demon/sage event card, and dreamchaser pack. I count jade gift box as .5 because like half the playerbase didn't even get to redeem it.
So just objectively speaking, this is by far a much more generous anniversary in terms of giveaways and we had more events.0 -

You... you don't have a clue what you're talking about do you?
The weekly codes are here because sparkiesoft personally gets approval for them to try and help us. Not for any other reason. If sparkie ever decided he didn't want to bother anymore or we got a new CM, they'd be gone just like that. DQ system has absolutely nothing to do with it. At all.
The bot came from China giving up on their own bot problems... and in China earning time came with the bot by default. Besides, it's already been proven that earning time isn't really going to hinder the vast majority of people playing in any way.
Oh and the mounts really didn't do what you said considering... ya know... the anni page got overloaded yearly and there were always some people who wound up with mounts they shouldn't have had.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
Entitlement much?
But sure, complain about how the free items on the free to play game that have actual use ingame instead of being mere vanity are proof of a thoughtless and oh-so-horrible anniversary that's worse than all the other ones we've had. I'll be over here laughing at you because the flaming hellhound from the first year is a helluva lot less impressive than everything we've got this year... even though according to you this year is the worst one ever.
If its free to play game it's not mean he should give us the piece of **** and you will be happy because it's for free... b:surrender0 -

Just because you don't like something, it doesn't make it garbage. Objectively speaking, this is the most rewarding anniversary we have ever had in terms of items received. Majority of the items were useful, and they made sure to give things for a wider variety of players, putting something in for everyone. From RAs trying to level or working on skills, to genuine newbies, to stuff that was good no matter who you are. I'm sure even endgame players could appreciate the free avatar packs. If you can't find a use for any of these items, then okay. It's never possible to please everyone. And you are totally entitled to that opinion.
But I think it's pretty uncalled for to tell someone off for giving you a gift, purely because you didn't like the gift. To even to go so far as to call it that. They didn't have to do something like this. They could have just given us a recolored hell hound and called it a day. I find it pretty amusing that everyone keeps acting like other anniversary gifts were so much better, personally though. Objectively speaking, these items were far more useful. We've gotten almost exclusively vanity items in the past. And it was the same vanity items year after year.0 -

+1 to both.
I'll count the Arc/Instagram promos too since they happened during the anniversary month.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Well, I'm gonna miss the cool triple threat codes (along with the weekly code) b:laugh. Thanks Sparkie for the hard work and sticking with us to make this month epic. Others may not think so, but I liked the codes and the events (even if the third one drove me crazy because it was uber long rofl). But hey, it's the thought that counts and I appreciate the effort and free stuff is always awesome XD.0

Indeed, thanks for the codes.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I've mostly closed my eyes to this thread for a while now but I couldn't let this one slip:
A rewardcode get's released a year ago and it's only redeemable once per account (which was with more codes on the old system). Now we have Arc, a whole new system to redeem through and you're saying as explanation of being unable to open it is because it was 'mentioned' somewhere a year ago. Even with that it could've been that the new redeem-system made a reset in that, but don't expect PWI made any mention (I doubt they even know) that the code was redeemable only once per account for this years anni.
I'm sorry but c'mon, using the fine print on a year-old code as excuse for this year's missing out is just bonkers and shameful of pwi to hide behind.
I don't really care what was in it, I don't really care which things are useful and which aren't, I just care that PWI isn't such a spineless company as they are clearly making out to be here.
I appreciate all the other codes don't get me wrong, I couldn't ask for more. But this one just bothers me a lot as to how it's being handled.0 -

None of the other items worked differently just because they were sent via Arc, why would that one? The item itself in the game never changed, and doesn't change whether they send it by email, arc, website, log-in game and put in in your inventory during maintenance, or send it to you via in-game mail. We knew since last year the item worked that way. I honestly didn't remember that it worked that way myself. The only reason I didn't make the same mistake is because I did see it here on the forums. I do think PWI should have reminded us that it was a once per character code. Or even better, the CMs last year should've just requested the code be fixed so it didn't work that way. But Sparkie wasn't here last year and none of the other items work that way, so it's understandable he didn't question the code item and just sent it out. It's a mistake for sure, but it's the kind of mistake that people who weren't there the previous year on a job make all the time.
I do think they've should have sent another code via the ticketing system to people who weren't able to open their box for that reason though. I understand why people were pretty annoyed by it as well.0 -

Minor nitpick: It's once per character, not once per account. Those with alts would be free to send it to their alts and open it on them, just as long as you didn't send it to the same characters you'd have been fine.
Aside from that, I agree that it should have been something that a note was made of last year (our current CM wasn't around and had no way of knowing so can't really blame him for thinking it was just a normal code)... though I can kinda see why it wasn't as well considering we didn't have an actual CM during the anniversary last year.
And considering the nature of that item itself, it would have been nice if they'd either changed it or allowed people to put it on a different character via tickets.(Insert fancy image here)0 -

Would have been nice to have the item be able to be stashed, as I couldn't remember which character used it last year. (It has been a year, after all!) I put it on the one that I thought hadn't used it on my main account... Surprise, that's the one that did! Thankfully I didn't have that issue with my second account. If you bite some one, they get mad and smack you.
But if you lick them, you still get the flavor.

Yeah... kinda annoying that China created the account stash so people could transfer items on their account without the hassles and insecurities the old item transfer methods had... and then decided to start making damn near everything unable to be account stashed. >.>;(Insert fancy image here)0 -
on a side note not to get into any of this but....the jade unicorn is account stashable so ya couldve put it on one toon, opened it and transferred to whichever one you wanted it on....but in my case, on my account, I only have 1 toon on it and none to share it with so its no biggie, i dont need 2 of the same mounts on 1 toon anyway0
