30 Min earning time gone on ONE pav?

Just logged on from the update, did the ws BH with a squad, killed the one pav and the 2 bosses, and I'm already down 30 mins of earning time???


I did NOT hit the nps for chi, I blood painted and shadow jumped once, while waiting for the timer and when the timer ran out i was down almost 7 mins...

As a player that doesn't bot 24/7 or really at all this seems to be a bit over kill?

    so one pav cost 30 mins, at 6 pavs that is 3 hours of earning time taken away for a full ws, wow. makes me sick, so much for farming gear now

    I logged back in with 7 hours and 29 mins left on earning time. Before logging out I did fsp, bh eu, bh aba, and 1 tt run in 2-1 only lion and horse.

    So from what I did and you did do not match with time spent. You sure you didn't do anything more before maint but after reset?

    Earning time resets at server reset time, so what i did prior doesn't matter, and when I logged on i had 8h, sitting in WS NOT hitting anything using 2 skills i lost almost 7 mins.

    the person above just told you why your earning time seems "low" and now look at your reaction. what the hell do you even want? im 100% sure you lie and you didnt even check what your earning time was at, when you logged back. i killed worldbosses for 40 minutes and lost only 24 minutes earning time. weird, isnt it?

    I said before maint but AFTER reset.

    Hmm... makes me wonder if maybe the UI is just not as accurate as we'd like.


    Guess I'll run some bots over the next week and use that to test just how accurate the time it displays actually is.

    Running a bot for an hour now. It's keeping time with earning.

    my earning time thingy stoped, as i was looting drops and flying/porting to the next locations, hence 24 minutes used after 40 minutes playing time. works fine and makes sense to me.

    I did not lie about looking when i logged on, I was actually excited to see they finally added a way to track our earning time, I was in a squad with several people who were experiencing the same drop in time for just idle sitting waiting for a WS timer, wasn't a consistent drop per minute, it'd just drop randomly. by the time the Timer ran out for the bh I was down 7 mins and didn't do anything other then the mentioned in my original post.

    Maybe because you were doing the instance without knowing... WS skipping pavs keeps poping quests and stuff, the event is going on even if you're not actively killing mobs.... Maybe some of you were buffing? or randomly buffed? You stay in "fight mode" for like... 20 - 30 seconds after using a skill, if someone happened to buff from time to time this could have caused?

    Not home now to check, just dropping random ideas in case one might match the facts you mentioned

    PWI what is the purpose of earning time . Not 1 player would think this is good for the game so why do you.

    Ok Ok some may think its a good thing but again why do we need or have this. With everything said about this you may think PWI would explain why after 6 yrs they decided to limit game play.


    Just did 2 primal quest killed no mobs and it cost me 2 min playing time now 7 hr 58 min how does earniing time how does this benifit me again . ??????????????????????????????

    I have a feeling earning time is based upon number of mobs killed and time spent in agro mode or some weird algorithm.


    I also think earning time needs to be increased a couple of hours.

    So basically, earning time puts a limit on how much you can play the game per day right? What am i supposed to do when its at 0? Buy gold for coins? Kind of a bad system imo. I mean yeah it stops bots after 8 hours but if its going to stop me playing the game because i cant farm anymore, whats the point?

    You need to farm more than 8hrs p/day every day? In all honesty this earning time is more of a healthy feature in your case.

    It doesn't stop you from playing the game, you can still do quests and other unrelated things to mobkills.

    Quests are boring and repetitive. Pretty much every quest is "go here, kill these, come back" or its "take this letter to person x and come back". I dont farm for 8 hour a day no. I do however, offer to help people pretty much all day but then if i am helping people with BHs all day and then decide to go and farm some gears, Im not going to get drops when i do go for gears.

    Despite not farming for 8 hours every day myself, i can think of a few people i know of who do and during x2 im pushing 10 hours + farming myself. Wont get r9 by sitting in west all day or doing quests for that matter. b:laugh

    I did a BH Snake earlier and I noticed that when in ws as we were waiting for timer to go down, if you click on the sit emote you get a message pop up in your chat box that tells you that your earning time has been paused so I think im just gonna sit when I wait for timers and stuff or when im not killing things in instances b:pleased

    There are plenty of things to do in the game which are not affected by earning time. PV, dailies, BH rewards, culti quests, realm of reflection to name a few. As a botter who was running 24/7 I think earning time is a great change for the game especially on PvE servers.

    True, although pv is redundant after 105/105/105, no im not that but there are plenty of people who are and to be honest i dont really fancy hitting it until i get r9. dailies are once per day and doesnt really give anything useful. BH reward, idk why but i always get chips or sockets, my luck is terrible with these things. Culti is complete. Realm, same with pv, not going for 105 105 105 untill i have r9.

    That being said, do i think ill run out of earning time on a day to day basis? No, no i dont. Maybe on saturdays when i spend alot of the day in TT. I do however, think that stopping people who would exceed the 8 hours per day farming WS/TT, or anything else people farm nowadays, is not the best way to combat botting. Assuming of course, that earning time is indeed to combat botting.

    It doesn't.

    You don't get a benefit, the point of it was never to benefit people who actually play the game but to limit the bots.

    Earning time is awesome, the new UI is accurate. gold (in RT) has gone down instead of having 200-400 gold at max, enjoy it.

    This is the best thing, IMO this is a half measure still, limit the bot to let's say 10 minutes at a time, even those people that still bot and those that have 4-8 bots cannot leave it on while at work/sleep since they had to reset the timer on the bot for it to keep going. This would also still make people who just use the bot to complete quests faster able to do it with ease.

    But that's just my opinion. b:cute

    ok in warsong there is an invisible mob under the bridge. if u aggro it in anyway... u will stay in aggro mode for several minutes, up to the whole 15 min it takes to open the instance. the earning time starts to tick down when u aggro something (EI When ur name / hp bar on squad list or pic is flashing red) and stops when the flashing stops.

    Wrong. I went to south arch outskirts and aggrod a mob there. I stood and stood while my flashing was on. You use no earning time. The act of entering ws starts your timer.

    well i just did FSP, and only used less than 15 min earning time the whole run... so idk then. ALso i went into warsong on one of my alts, it ticked of 1 min then didnt lose any others just standing there so PW gods must hate you xD

    i just went into ws with 7 hours and 53 minutes earning time and when I went in the timer started but then it paused. I stood for 30 minutes and the timer didnt change at all. Any time i moved the timer would start again, even just walking up the ramp..and it would pause when I stopped. Just letting yall know how it worked for me

    When i got to the gatekeeper i had dropped from 7hours 53 minutes to 7 hours 51 minutes, but i stopped and started a few times along the way when i noticed that movement started the timer. So i'm thinking if someone is waiting on the timer like for metal and they move around a bit they can use up some time not realizing it.

    So any movement causes the timer to start, not combat.

    So i run bot for 7 hours... and i have 1 hour left, i run all my daylies, and whatever silly thing that shows up with friends/guildies...

    So far, since the earning time came out, i havent had an issue :)
    So im really happy about the clock there, not like it affects me, but might keep an eye if im on a farming strike for something

    Your seriously going to play this game for 8 hours?
    If you think botting will make you massive coins then your playing this game wrong.

    20+ mill a day on cube
    15+mill a day from fsp
    Bh profit
    Maybe four hours.And maybe a hour earning time
