Not sure if I'm missing something here... (gold trading/DQ)

I usually play perfect world by getting into it for a while and then putting it down again. Last time when I picked it up again, the auction house wasn't working like it used to and DQ items had their coin value erased. This time, gold trading seems completely empty? (here's a link to a screenshot)

I'm not sure if there's something i missed here, but i used to make a lot of my money to be able to buy things like flyers, mounts, fash etc from catshops in archo by buying and selling gold on the AH, so if it's been messed up too I'm a little disappointed. ): Just wondering if anyone has an explanation.
I also read in a few posts that DQ items above level 40 or so should still have their full coin value, since the prices were erased on low level drops to prevent low level botting, but they still don't for me in game. Any explanation for this as well? This combined with the broken auction house and broken gold trading leave me wondering how I'm ever supposed to get any decent money without being high level and farming instances. (Or dumping tons of cash into the boutique- I've already dumped at least $100 USD, I can't really do much more.)

AH is working just fine as the devs want it to. DQ items above 81 have coin value only. $100 x 30 and maybe you might get r9 so ur kinda finished I think.0 -
This is normal for Dreamweaver, the sell/buy price has been at max for sometime with very little being sold. So 500 orders at max price and none for sale is not unusual.
As for DQ I think it's 80 and up that still have value.0 -
The value of gold is over max at the moment, that's why none is being sold. DQ is the same that it probably was when you last played, lower levels have 1 coins value and the higher levels have normal value (DQ rewards no longer work).
Good luck. There is legal botting now, a limit of 8hrs on earning time (exp and drops) and the economy is quite hurting right now.0 -

Actually it's about 900-1000 golds being sold per day. If not more.. I know because I put in to buy 50g when there were already 938 in front on my buy. I got it by the next day.0 -

I haven't seen any "Selling" gold in weeks now, that's what I meant. I'm sure people who need coins now are selling for the 3,999,900 price.0 -

Depends on the day I guess.
I put a bid and took almost 3 days to get the gold.
Another bid took 2 days.
I am not getting the gold in 24 hours like you are we on same server.
my guess is 500 gold per day not 1000.Do you want PWI to fix the economy before is to late?

Perhaps there were 900-1000 sold that particular day but doesn't mean that's how many are sold per day. And if you got it the next day it could have been 500 sold one day, 400 the next, people pulled their bids, or any combination there of.0 -

Since others have already covered gold in the AH and DQ items, I'll go for this.
We have a set of daily quests for players below level 80 from Jolly Jones in the starting areas. These provide coin for simply talking to the NPC and you can get more by doing (up to) seven small quests he'll give each day. It's a great source of coin for those levels and will add up as you can do them daily.(Insert fancy image here)0 -

Maybe but I also bought 2 gold n another account with at least 600 gold in front of mine, and I got it within 24 hours as well. I know because that account was short 2 gold and I was worried if I would get it in time before the promo ended. I put in for it the night before maybe 2 am. I got it at around 10pm last night. It would be nice to know the actual numbers but I do think about 1k golds are sold through ah per give or take 100-200g.noodlepunch wrote: »I haven't seen any "Selling" gold in weeks now, that's what I meant. OFC you can't see the selling because buyer are buying at max... why would you think you could see the selling? It's not listed because you can't list what others are already buying it for.... You will not see that until cap is lifted.0 -

Ah okay, that makes more sense. I wasn't aware there was a max price, I guess that means no more buying and selling for profit until it's raised, huh. ):Since others have already covered gold in the AH and DQ items, I'll go for this.

Oh thanks, didn't know that existed! I'll try that out.0 -

Hard to say, although I would suspect over the weekends with the recent buy/spend promotions lately gold sales/buying is higher than during the week. But yes, it would be interesting to see actual gold sales, especially during the promotions.IgnisAlatus - Dreamweaver wrote: »Ah okay, that makes more sense. Not necessarily, I've been seeing offers off the ah anywhere from 4m to 4.2m (and that's buy). Although personally, with the inflated prices of items even at 4M you not getting fair market.0 -
Auto cultivation destroyed the value of coins on pve servers.

Even Archosaur server is more expensive than pvp servers.
Archosaur was the cheapest server of them all.

PWI introduced earning system but it was too late and will take months till you can notice some improvement.Do you want PWI to fix the economy before is to late?

Can you explain what auto cultivation is? How do they do it? How do people make money at it? And how is it harming the economy in PWI?
I have put money on the game and have sold gold to buy various items I needed. I have noticed how gold was capped at 3,999,900. It seems to me that not enough money is coming into the game. More people are buying gold vs selling.
Why do people want to buy gold when it is maxed? What do they do with the gold? I can't believe they want to use it to buy stuff out of the boutique. Do they have a way to the gold out of the game and convert it back to dollars? It would make sense to me if they are pulling gold out of the game...but I can't imagaine that PWI would allow that.0 -

When the value of gold goes up, the coin value goes down. So instead of sitting on piles of coin like many people were, they are now buying up the gold because that holds/gains value more than coin and doesn't seem like it's going to lose value like the coins are. Hope that made sense.0 -

You think inflation is bad now then watch what happens if the cap on gold prices is raised. How will any low level depending on a fixed rate from JoJ quest be able to afford gold if it goes up. There is way too much coin on the server the best way to fix gold prices is to reduce the amount of coin on the server where most of the coin is at. The game needs a huge coin sink to suck out all that coin. I think increasing the fee to repair end game gear to be 10 times as much as it is now. I mean the repairs ought to be proportional to the amount of DD and defense they have. And that includes shards and refines. Since the game is designed to allow people to do insane amounts of DD with insanely OP expensive gear then the costs to repair the gear ought to be insanely high as well.
Also since there is going to be a slow down in alts and people getting to end game level due to the change to FC we may see a market saturation in raps and cannies and anything else people trade NW tokens for. NV3rd cast and r9 second cast and any other gear made with cannies and raps ought to be required to be repaired with the same amount of raps and cannies that were used to make them if the gear shatters in PvP. So another rap and canny sink will help the market too.
These are just a thought. PW devs created the means for people to generate a lot of coin from the environment, especially on PvE servers, but they failed to create a coin sink for that to be given back into the environment. The more coin, rap, and canny sinks that are created to start sucking up coins back out of the economy the value of those three things will go up significantly and gold prices will fall. Also NW and maybe even NV might become more popular for players to run.I **** bigger than you...

Ok, but what is auto cultivation I read about in other posts? I assume it is some sort of way to have a computer play your character to mine stuff?0

It is a bot. It will kill mobs and loot drops automatically.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If it becomes too costly to do so (raising the cost of repairs) no one is going to help others with anything. Same goes for NW. I heard plenty of barbs complaining about the cost of charms (back when they were 12m+ each) and not doing TW because of it. The "reward" just isn't worth it.0 -
My take on this is that China PW is growing leaps and bounds and every single change is done for the China audience and game economy. Since we don't play the China version, we have no way of knowing what the effects of these changes have been there or what the state of the economy on their servers is. These could all be moves too improve the economy on China's servers where the real world economy is booming.
As the China market grows, China Pw has less and less interest in taking into consideration how any changes play out in the versions leased to US and other Markets. It is basically take it or leave it.
No more making changes to suit local markets (like FC hypers).
If the game is booming in China, they could care less if it is getting cored out in the US and other markets as the mid levels thin out and vanish.
What is clear is from here on out, in the US and other outside markets, cash shopping is the only priority and player income or economy is verboten.0 -

r9rrr +12 is OP for anything PvE related. It is overkill. Smart people would do PvE related stuff with cheaper gear. But for PvP stuff then yeah. make it expensive.I **** bigger than you...
