Marketplace

Yo! As I've been saying on previous posts, I think we should remove the catshop action from the game. Besides laggin the game in some cities and instances, a city populated with ugly shops (my opinion, I know) sucks.
My suggestion is: Let's create a marketplace where players can buy and sell stuff. We have something very similar to this, the Auction House. The problem is that AH has a bad interface and it isn't used because Cat Shops rules the market, so remake the AH, order the items acordingly and take the items from level 130 or whatever, it doesn't make sense when the level cap is 105.
Another idea is to extend this marketplace from outside the game. A player should be able to log into the PWI site and be able to choose his server and character to buy things even if he's not logged in. Sometimes I'm at work and since I can't have the game installed (for obvious reasons), I would like to participate in the merchantile side of PWI by selling and buying, originating more coin flow.

Notice: Any game is better than PWI atm, so give PWI a break and go try other MMOs! Do it...

it's true that cities are always laggy and marketplace would be helpful. please do this0 -
Many games out there use a Marketplace system, and guess what... IT WORKS MUCH BETTER THAN CATSHOPS!!! I'm just sick of being forced to lower graphism when I enter a city, or simply remove all players that aren't within a 5 meter range. I want a marketplace or as OP said, a better AH.0

The AH it's not that bad and I still use it sometimes. But still I have to agree that the cities being filled with CatShops is an ugly thing and the fact that they lag the game is obvious. Servers might as well only have 200 000 players each, but when people start abusing and they put Cat Shops all around the cities, the population levels reach 500 000 or whatever (idk the values, just throwing some numbers). I agree that we need a better system and that seems just fine.0

NO. MORE. CATSHOPS! Do whatever you want, just take the damn CatShops out of the game. I get rubberband all over the place when near an overpopulated area.0

I find it complicated to have about 200 000 active characters on a server, but I get your point and you're right, people abuse the Cat Shop trading system when we can put our stuff on AH or a better marketplace. Like that we'd put our items for sale and we would keep playing, instead of being stoped in a big city, laggin the game for those who are not afk.Notice: Any game is better than PWI atm, so give PWI a break and go try other MMOs! Or you know.. just use the concession stands that were already implemented into the game, ((but remove the stupid limited fees and make it so you don't have to be next to some sort of nonsense to be able to buy from it. You shouldn't have to have a character be doing nothing 24/7 to run a shop, anyway.))
The layout of that is really nice; it has commas so people don't have to spend ten seconds trying to figure out if it's 600K or 6m; it generally lets you see all the info you need. The only thing people don't seem to like about it is that it takes away from 'window shopping' but that's only really useful in scenarios like... the rough fur shops that open up right next to the NPC that wants them. Tiny merchant problems.
Suggestions aside... I've actually never had a problem with catshops enough to where I thought they should be removed entirely at all. They tend to show up where they're relevant and don't where they're not.
If anything there should just be an option to 'hide catshops' like there is an option to hide players, and player names, and the shop names, etc....

I'm helplessly needless, and needless to say I owe you | Well I'd pull, teeter away, at the earth with my teeth, to touch your face alive | You lie, helplessly still | As your face falls apart | Well I can make your face brand new | Come take my hand and I'll take your hand | And I will pull you out | Into the sun.
