is it just me or today you dont get points for completing the first bounty hunter quest??? is this intended or is just another of the thousands of errors???b:surrenderb:surrenderb:surrender

The BH will only give you Active Points if you picked it today.

It's BH Metal but you have BH Metal from yesterday. <- this BH will not give you points.
It's BH Metal and you just picked the quest. <- this BH will give you points.
It's BH Metal, you did the old quest and you picked it again. <- this second BH will give you points.

If you picked the quest today and it did not give you points then it might be an error yes.

....so I guess there's more of a reason to delete old, undone BHs now?

Your BH quests will automatically change to the new ones, so you'll never have a BH in your quest log that you can no longer turn in.

If you have enough Active points you can auto complete old BH's, I got rid of 4 BH II's that way in 2 days and can autocomplete BH I today as well since it's in the blue list now. Love this system b:victory
Your old undone BH's pre-update should be changed into their modern version so the runs still happen. F.e. if you had BH Lunar before which became BH AEU, your quest now requires you to do AEU.
So no need in deleting your old BH's, they still give rewards and runs are still formed. Plus Venus is on dutyb:shocked

also note it rotates what gives active points. herioc warsong i was able to complete with points as well as liu soos plea which both now give me points and the bh 1's which used to give me points i now can complete with points. in fact in my current cycle no BHs are giving me active points because they were rotated out .

yeah we know about how the system works...but my problem is i did todays bh and didnt get any point at all... same happened to friends and my alt... thats why im asking...i got the points from this past days but not today.... any ideas???

Nice to hear you can sometimes auto-complete BHIs, too...
Not that I've... actually done any BHs for a long time. I don't have my faction anymore to be okay with bringing my green lunar undergeared tail along B| even if most of what I do is veno-ness.

let me rephrase for you. BH's dont always give active Points. The ones that give active points can change. I cant tell you if its on a weekly change or not. BH's currently DO NOT GIVE ACTIVE POINTS. gotta wait for next rotation.

pretty sure its intended and part of the randomness they said would be introduced.

*as a side note if you want sources im too lazy for that, its out there use google or search through forums.

Well I can solo most of the BH's and form squads for my alts. If you want to get them done i form bh's the day of the BH (I never do W2, EU, or AEU tho). But any of the others just drop me a msg

Oh hm, so it rotates? I haven't logged on yet to check on stuff/do dailies for today. Though my first post still stands as it has to be today's "quest" to count as far as I know.

As far as the OP is concerned, I have no idea what's up with that.

thats something i havent checked yet. I will look at my alts and see if they all rotated.

*edit - having checked out 2 others of my toons they all rotated. they all do not have bhs for active quests.
I havent been doing dailies lately on them either so it doesnt seem based on the number of dailies you did. however i will point out they are all on the same account. maybe your alts are on multiple accounts and its based off of login not character. i will try to see if i can dig up more.

On Sanctuary today you only get points for completing the six primal dailies. BH1 is EU and can be autocompleted by spending 30 points. Good for people that don't like EU but bad for people that aren't reawakened because they can't earn active points today.

Also I just remembered that I wanted to point out somewhere: old dailies like cube and WQ and those such don't have anything to do with giving active points. It feels like they should. Is that just me that thinks that?

There are a bunch of issues with AP's & quests.

On RB especially you don't get AP for completing quests listed as earning AP until other lvl requirements are also met.

BQ's don't appear to earn AP until 90+, BH's so far (only tested before lvl 90 RB1) haven't earned AP and word about town is that it won't until lvl 100+

The AP is very finicky about what/when they apply to - it needs some Q&A love to ensure they they always apply - even if quests are from days before. Mouse tooltips would help a lot in clarifying to what the Earning AP apply.

It depends on your definition of AP ofc - am I Active today - or was I active when I picked up the quest

This isn't how it works; there is no error.
In the Active Point system, the window that you spend those points on, it displays the red quests as the ones that give points that day and blue ones you can spend points on that day.
Every day changes in which give points and which you can spend points on but they always add up to 70 available points from the sources: primal dailies, morai, base quests, bounty hunters.
Some days you can do your primal dailies and spend points to complete BH1 for 30 points, some days you can gain points from completing BH1.

EDIT: Just an added emphasis pointer to say... Read that Active Point window; it tells you what gives points and what can take points to auto-complete. What gives and what can take rotate around every day.

You're quoting Desdi but... her post is completely accurate. Even if BH1 gives Active Points that day, for example, turning in a BH1 from the day prior will not give you active points. Only the one for that day would count towards it.

@laseek: The active point system isn't available until 100+. Before that, you don't get to use it, so it's working as intended.

Anyways, this is a necro, so I'll be tidying it up now.
