Combat Stance

Guys, what do you think about Combat stance being active even after you killed a mob? Well it's not the end of the world, but what's the point? You killed all mobs, you're not under atack, therefore why do you have to wait all those seconds before going to normal stance? It wouldn't affect PvP if that's your concern, in PvP you remain in combat as long as you're being atacked or if you atack a target and he remains alive (there you wait the same time you wait atm with mobs). It would just improve the gameplay of sins i think, they could go into stealth right after clearing a wave of mobs, for example, but that's not the point. The thing is basicaly why? b:chuckle if you're not in combat anymore why should you be in a combat stance? b:victory

So where exactly is your suggestion, you're only asking questions, so i'm gonna be answering that.
I'm guessing your suggestion is to go to passive stance right after everything is dead.

But, aesthetic wise, think of it as being "alert" after you just slapped the **** out of stuff, expecting there to be more (we can see there is not, but when in first person, through the character eyes, he does not know).

After a while he realizes that it's safe around, goes back to passive.

I don't really see the problem.

    Realistically speaking?

Better to keep your guard up while scanning the area for a few seconds to make sure you're safe before relaxing. So it'd make sense to have the stance those few extra seconds while the game is saying "Player X has not been in active combat for Y amount of time and it is now safe to flag their status as out of combat".

    Ignoring realism?

... Same reason we can double jump over houses.

Personally, I prefer it as is. The extra few seconds in combat stance is a huge help for taking aesthetic screenshots and having a character instantly exit combat mode just because no mob/player was nearby for them to kill would heavily detract from that.

For me this is only really annoying in Primal world where you randomly go into combat stance with no mob near you.

Who was it, what was it, why did it poke me, come out and face me like a man! b:shocked

Stops me from using teleport stones as I'm so lazy even when I'm two feet away from a teleporter I'll prefer to pop one of these badboys.

Realistically speaking? They are trained warriors, against dumb monsters based on fierce atack and defense by instinct, so... If a trained warrior ain't aware of his surroudings it ain't a good warrior.
Ignoring realism? We shouldn't be able to double jump lol Imagine an engine that let's you make some kind of "parkour". Grab ledges, wall jump, wall ride... It would be funny :) As I keep saying in my posts, a more interactive environment would improve sooooo much this game lol
Notice: Any game is better than PWI atm, so give PWI a break and go try other MMOs! Do it...

You know i do like the idea of a defense stance that increases your defense but you are unable to attack or perform any action. Would help when tanking bosses and you have to wait because someone has DCed. Also may be interesting in PvP... May be...

There is nothign wrong with the fighting stance and its duration after the battle is over. Even a lot of games that are not related to PW are like that.

It makes sense because of different health and MP regeneration rates in and out of combat.

And of course there are certain skills which can only be used out of combat.
