I recently purchased the Cleric Book(Sage Version): Thunderball.
I was sad taht I did some tests and its not working. It gives 15% damage from anyone of any kind to that target inflicted with the effect of Thunderball.
How to achieve the same results:
1)Have a toon with the skill Thunderball Sage Version(obviously)
2) Have a person to test(either a mob or a player, i tested on both)
3) Take off your weapon so the damage its always the same
4) Use Sage Thunderball and use a hit, spell or whatever, note down the number.
5) Use same spell, attack, whatever without the skill.
Final result: The damage is exactly the same, there is no 15% increase on damage.
Today is maintentce you could please fix this? Or I would want a refund for buying a skill that isnt even working like it should. I buyed this skill exatly for this 15% dmage increase and now its broken.

no, it doesn't, thats not what the book or skill description says
that wouldn't even make sense0 -
Create a sphere of lightning of the enemy's head, dealing base magic damage as Metal damage and shocking the target for 12 seconds, dealing an additional 400% of weapon damage plus 6800 as Metal damage. Sage version increases all damage by 15%.
There's the skill description. The implied effect of the sage boost applies to the damage stats of the skill. it's not affecting anything cast afterwards. Whatever would give you that idea?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The part of the 15% bonus its the part not working. It makes NO SENSE that the 15% aplpies to the own skill, read the non-sage skill description, and no where the 15% is the values it increases from the normal version to sage rofl..
the 15% is a debuff caused by thunderball while the DOT is applied. And makes every damage on that player aplify by 15% while in effect.0 -
It's not an amp. Sage version of the skill does 15% more damage than the regular one.
Could it be better worded to avoid confusing someone who'd think it was an amp for whatever reason? Yes. Is it glitched or broken in any way? No.
Note the difference between it and a skill such as, say, Heaven's Flame that specifies, "Increases the damage they take," rather than just how this skill says it increases damage by 15%.(Insert fancy image here)0 -

If I'm not mistaken, it specifies that it reduces metal resistance. Unless I'm wrong or you're agreeing with me and I'm too out of it to recognize, in which case disregard this message. b:surrender(Insert fancy image here)0 -

Its not 15% of the amped skill itself. The values arent even near 15% amplification.
its a 15% debuff effect it gives, amping all dmg taken by 15%.0 -
It does not do that. It never has done that and it never will do that.
You're mistaken on what you think the skill does. That's all there is to it.(Insert fancy image here)0 -
"Increases all damage" does not mean damage from other skills. What it means is it increases all forms of damage that particular skill will do. So in this case it increases the 400% weapon damage plus 6800 metal damage by 15%.
They do often word things poorly in skill descriptions, but the skills that specifically amp are worded to indicate damage taken and are given a time period on it:
Amplify damage:
"Curse a target with vulnerability, increasing the damage it takes by 20% for 20.0 seconds."
Demon Nova:
"Demon version increase the damage taken by enemies by 30% while driven mad."
Heaven's Flame:
"Increases the damage they take for the next 6 seconds by 100%."
Blood Vow:
"Wounds the target for 30 seconds, reducing maximum Health by 18% and increasing the damage taken by the target by 25%."
This skill does not word it to indicate the target is taking outside damage. It just states an increase in skill damage.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
