also, do you think the attributes change depending of the gear?

example:
atk. lvl 1 gem on chest and on daggers
atk. lvl 1 gem on g12 chest and g16 chest

Dexterity+18 adds 12% of weapon damage to base damage, which ish 1,2% more sparked damage when character has about 600 dex. Under 67 attack levels over target's def. lvl +2 attack levels adds more damage to pure dex. archer's/sin's sparked damage than 18 dexterity, taking only base attack addition to account. When over 69 attack levels over target's, adding +18 dex benefits more than +2 attack levels. When speaking about non-sparked damage, +18 dex adds far more damage than +2 attack levels than in 99% of cases.

The rise in crit rate(+18 dex ish likely to increase by 1%) though makes the damage addition from dex. greater than attack level in pretty much any case.

Neither of those is going to add a significant amount of damage. The difference between the two is minimal, with the Dexterity coming slightly ahead in most cases.

In an ideal case, Attack Lvl +2 will add 2% damage. But that's only if you have no other source of attack levels. With 50 Attack Levels, that's down to 1.3%.

At 400 Dexterity, the +18 would give you around 2.8% more damage.
At 500 Dexterity, the +18 would give you around 2.4% more damage.
At 600 Dexterity, the +18 would give you around 2.1% more damage.

I use "around" because the actual number is changed based on how much +crit% you have outside of Dexterity, not to mention whether you have Sage/Demon Dagger Mastery.

Also: The attributes don't change per gear, but you'd be dumb as a rock to put an Attack Level gem into a weapon. Adding a Flawless Garnet does more than adding a Diamond of Tiger to your weapon. A Garnet Gem or Drakeflame Stone is in a different league entirely.

You should only consider attack level gems for your armor if you want more damage and are already rocking +12 refine with 2x Garnet Gem or Drakeflame in your weapon.

For any questions on how to get to these numbers, you might wanna read this paper I wrote on damage calculation, specific to Assassins.

Shabby garnet would give a bigger %reduction in damage taken in npc gear than it would in R9r2 because mag and pdef give diminishing returns, same as attack and defense level.
    Worth mentioning I thought.
