Right click the folder and open properties via the drop down menu. If it's read-only or doesn't have full permissions (permissions info found under the security tab), that would be your problem.

Hmm.... well I do have a post on it from before as well. See if any of these help.

    Some things to check:
-Are you on an administrator account and/or have UAC disabled?
    -Is the folder/file read only?
-When checking the above, go to the security tab and see if you have permissions set that allow you to modify and write to that folder/file.

Odds are one of the above 3 is your issue and that would prevent you from saving the file within the folder. You could always copy the file to another folder, modify it there, give it a new name, and paste to the original folder as a workaround... but directly altering the folder via making sure you have full permissions and it isn't read-only will be the easiest way to deal with this in the long run.

    what is uac?

I'm running Win8.1 and it works fine for me.

-Are you on an administrator account and/or have UAC disabled?

um idk how do I know that?

    -Is the folder/file read only?

no I made it where the I have (full control) is what mine is

-When checking the above, go to the security tab and see if you have permissions set that allow you to modify and write to that folder/file.

yep done that I have the access to modify write etc. but special permissions and idk how to do that.

User Account Control. Leaving it disabled/off saves a lot of headache on various things. That and running stuff as an administrator because Microsoft keeps dumbing stuff down and making it harder for the people who have any idea what they're doing to get things done without too much issue.

Edit: Open a folder and put the following in the address bar to check if you're on an administrator account or not and to see options concerning UAC: Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety\User Accounts.

When you unchecked read only, did you make sure to select to apply changes to "this folder, subfolders, and files"? Last, but not least, there's always the option to save the change outside the folder, give it a new name, and then paste it back in the original folder.
