Fix Inflation

Ever since "auto-cultivating" came out, there is so much more coin in the market than needs to be causing insane amounts of inflation. This has been a pretty hot topic lately, so I figured to create a thread for people to post ideas to fix this.
Simplest Fix
Introduce items in NPC shops or a "coin" shop that are both valuable and purchasable buy all players regardless of order, or faction, race, class, etc... Something that would be an essential necessity for players to purchase from an NPC and not attainable in any other means. This way, the game will extract a large amount of coin out of the economy making less coin available for player to player transactions and by doing so, increasing the value of coin.
You can make this item variable in cost by level and make it non-trade-able / account stash-able. Thus players won't be able to work their way around it.
Why should PWI NOT increase the coin cost of current things?
Could you make armor pieces have a cost to manufacturing them?
Increase the coin cost of making avatar card packs?
Or anything like that...
Because then prices of those items will just go up. You aren't truly taking enough money out of the economy to reduce inflation. You are simply just increasing the cost of day-to-day things with inflation which will just increase cost for players. Also, for players who already have the max gear, or max cards (the players with the most money) wouldn't be affected by this and so it will just increase the worth of their coin. (Make the rich richer and the poor poorer)

create a token npc and give people the ability to buy and sell tokens to/from it for a fixed price. Tokens are very much a currency in their own right, plus it will take lots of coin out of the game with people buying them for herb/crab etc, it gives a steady stream of tokens at a resonable price. Plus it will kill some catshops that are charging stupid prices for tokens. b:laugh0

I don't think PWE is stupid but they probably have other objectives then players. My guess is that they do everything to pump out a maximum of money from PWI even if that means sacrificing it (maybe even intentionally forcing a decline for their rotation) to have some cashflow for other projects/needs.0 -

I know many who use auto cultivation, and I can say that here on DreamWeaver server I have yet to see "bot" that makes 800k in 10 mins. I farm for 1 hour and make 4mill +. Not counting my merching shop, i easily make more coin than any person I know who auto cultivates for the same ammount of time, so the BS statement that auto cultivation is ruining the economy is bunk.0

I suspect I am wasting my time explaining this but lets simplify things. I imagine archosaur has ~30 24/7 bots. Or more like enough botting here and there to meet same as if there was 30 bots 24/7. Lets take small number like 200k/h for what each bot makes. 30 * 200k = 6000k/h = 6m/h. 6m * 24 = 144m. 30 * 144m = 4320m. So in month, with numbers I believe to be underestimation, we get to 4,3b coins generated into economy. pwi doesn't care about the economy, the game is 5 years old, they've made their money now they just let it die out. its all about the cash you throw down here, those who spend cash can break rules and make them, but us farmers and f2p suffer, except for me i found a niche where i can make millions in an hour.0

If you farm TT and merch the mats, you aren't adding coins to the economy (except for whatever coins you pick up, or drops you NPC rather than cat shop), you're circulating existing coins.
If you auto-cultivate and pick up drops, you're adding new coins to the economy, both from coins picked up and drops NPCed.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Merchanting does not create new coins.
auto cultivation does.
You make 4m in an hour from actually spending energy and time. You deserver those coins.
But can you compete with ?

Would not it be fair that you are actually playing and actually investing your time that you should get 2 Gold per hour instead of 1 gold per hour?
If you played on a PVP server where auto cultivation is not a problem you could get 2 gold there per hour of farming but in a heavily bot infested server like Dreamweaver you only make 1 gold per hour...
I also can farm 4+ million per hour. But is nothing since people can get with auto culti twice as much while they sleep..

You're right in a way - prices will remain high, even if auto-culti is removed. Look peeps. Its really very simple... The cause of inflation is the devaluation of the ingame currency. This is caused by the over valuation of currency being introduced from outside the internal economy (Gold and Tokens of Luck). There are no controlls on the inflation like giving a permanent cap to the Gold - Gold Coins exchange like every real economy does by controlling intererst rates. Getting rid of the tokens of luck altogether is needed also. If those things happen, inflationary pressure would diminish greatly. What else needs to happen is that drop rate and amounts need to improve. And they need to make those things that are shown to be available in the game... well available in the game (ie gems to craft higher level gems, reputation instead of purchasing a gazillion tokens).
They should adopt a different model to make money. Get everything that should be in the game in the game with reasonable effort. They should then introduce a subscription type thingy and give those with subscriptions rewards like top level mana and hp charms. A bundle of crafting mats (not TT stuff). Everything that effects game play should be in the game and obtainable with reasonable effort.
The game should be still free to play, but with substantial rewards for players that pay the subscription.
Its really a shame that what is an otherwise outstanding game is so spoiled. If they should fix the economy I would come back to PWI in an instant. I miss the game but I spent a great deal of real money and real time in the game for the time that I spent there. I have not played the game for a couple years because of how broken the ingame economy is. I'm not going to go broke playing a game.

The way it can temporally fix the inflation is that pwi makes a sacrifice which will they would not do...
That is a NPC that sells Oceans Orbs for 100 million and remove them from boutique permanently.
Other possible items are MoG, GST and JoD, Tiger, Deity.
But that will never happenDo you want PWI to fix the economy before is to late?

Here's a good work around to both sides: Items acquired from auto cultivation are automatically bound to your account. Even the coins.Zsw -104 Sage Assassin
