Avatar titles

Do you need to keep the actual cards in your avatar bag for the titles?

I have been keeping one of all the C cards for title progression (I have also already done the B-box exchange). I accidentally devoured one of the C's I was keeping and noticed its still in my Avatar Book.
So....do I need to keep them for the later titles? Or does just having them entered in my book count?

    You can devour all of them, they stay recorded in your book.

    When you get a unique card it gets highlighted in the book, thus you get 1 more towards a new avatar card title so yes all you need to do is just get the card, then you can do whatever you want with it.

    The c cards in your case have been used for exchange for the B card. Quest done with, can be devoured.

    I would keep the B cards though until the exchange for the A card is done.
    And same method towards the S exchange.

    edit: Ah, rereading the topic title. Yea, for the title it doesn't matter.
