There was once a misguided little birdy determined to become a great conqueror of the sky. Though this birdy believed she was beginning her journey of flight atop the highest branch of the greatest tree, she was actually trapped in sinking pit of quicksand. Surrounded by other misguided birdies she grew ever confident that her flight of glorious conquest was just around the corner, but little did the little birdy know, around the corner was a large cement truck approaching to fill the sink hole so that it could never trap little birdies ever again. Most of the other birdies were too far gone, but not our little birdy. She was wiser than the rest. Instead of being buried in the cement she grabbed hold of the nearest branch and pulled herself to safety, leaving the sinkhole forever. Amazed, and finally seeing the sink hole for what it was, she flew into the window of the cement truck and spoke to its operator. The cement truck driver could not believe that this little birdy actually had a voice and was so impressed that she had outsmarted the other birdies that he agreed to take the little birdy under his own wing of guidance. Over time the little birdy began to grow, and like a phoenix from the ashes was born anew with a new sense of accomplishment and determination. The cement truck driver admired the birdy's determination, but realized the birdy was not yet ready to soar. The risk of being overwhelmed by other great birds who were soaring was too great. The little birdy could get lost in the shadows of the great wingspans in the sky. Because this was the smartest little birdy, she accepted this advice and began learning and growing. Over time she could feel the strength building in the flap of her wings. Eventually she reached the final stage of her trials. She would have to complete several months of test runs through the treacherous phoenix valley. Even though she had come so far, the great flight in the open sky seemed so far away. Over time she began to conquer phoenix valley. Navigating the terrain expertly, it became a 2nd home to her. Months later she emerged from her trials. The cement truck driver could not believe how much the little birdy had changed. She was now strong and wise, with a glorious wing span. With a smile he acknowledged her accomplishment and said to her, congratulations on level 105x3 little one, it's your time to soar.

    Has it been that long?

    I remember,
there was this quiet little girl hanging around in public channels trying to be noticed so she would be more confident in applying afterwards.

    I remember,
she used other people to arrange some kind of chat to openly state her intentions and what-else-not, if such a thing exists in a pixel world, and dedicate her entire being to the greater good.

    I remember,
she started getting accustomed to the new environment and started to speak up in crowded channels when she had something to say.

    I remember,
she crawled out of her shell and even sang on multiple occasions in channels as time passed.

    I remember,
she worked to become more than a simple member of some online cult of devil worshippers and goat slaughterers.

    I remember,
the quiet little girl became a communicating voice in open world PK and TW.

    I remember,
the dedication she put into improving her character and her skillset in playing her character, listening to advice and experimenting things that she discovered worked for her.

    I remember,
her taking up responsibility in an active organizing role within a guild.

But after all this time I remember that which matters most,
she is still here, she is still playing.

Congrats on hitting 105x3, now go do other stuff, like, for real! <3

What a peculiar story, but it reminded me of the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

    Congratulations Eoria.
