Hi i dont know if this is the right thread to ask about this or not but would really appreciate it if some1 could help me. When i woke up this morning and clicked on Arc to play the game a pop up showed up showing that Arc Application is updating. its goes to about 90% or so and then a pop up Error displays showing "Arc has encountered an error while updating, please try again". No matter how many times i try thats teh same result i am getting today. i even restarted my system but its the same. Dint face this problem during the last update, Arc was opening up but cldnt play cause PWI maintenance was going on. So can please soem1 help me is this because the maintenance is on or because of some other reason??b:thanksb:thanks

I encountered the same issue before several times. While it may not be the cause of your specific problem, what it turned out to be on my end was a different game distribution platform. I can't say the name but starts with an S. It had the arcOSBrowser executable open so the file was locked from modification which in turn causes the Arc update to fail since it can't write to it to update it.

The solution was to close S, then run Arc update.

Yeah, I've had Steam cause issues with some other software updating before. Never Arc, but there's a first time for everything.

The other possible cause is that you didn't exclude the client and Arc directories/executeables from your antivirus scans and they are causing the problem.
