how to update

so the last time i played was about when arc was forced in , people discovered a way to bypass it and that's the last i knew, im trying to install the patches to get up to date and play the game but the patcher isnt working, and manual download and patch isnt working either it's asking me to install arc and then stupid arc wants to donwload the full 10gbs of game wich is a crazy tought, isn't there a way for me to just update the damn game with the patcher like we always did or should i keep staying away from this crappy game? i see the patches listed but they are of no use at all

    If the patcher isn't working, try opening your task manager and killing all arc and element client processes, then try again. I've had an issue before where it wouldn't update and that helped.

    However, arc should be able to recognize your game and not have to download it again. I'm pretty sure there was a thread about it somewhere...

    Hi i dont know if this is the right thread to ask about this or not but would really appreciate it if some1 could help me. When i woke up this morning and clicked on Arc to play the game a pop up showed up showing that Arc Application is updating. its goes to about 90% or so and then a pop up Error displays showing "Arc has encountered an error while updating, please try again". No matter how many times i try thats teh same result i am getting today. i even restarted my system but its the same. Dint face this problem during the last update, Arc was opening up but cldnt play cause PWI maintenance was going on. So can please soem1 help me is this because the maintenance is on or because of some other reason??

    To update your pwi client without needing download arc: In your pwi folder go to your launcher file then delete arcsdk.dll after that the pop up saying need arc is gone and free update (need to delete each time or block it). Might need manually download each patch if it freezes on you.

    arcsdk.dll is simply add-on dll to trick people into downloading arc and isn't actually require to run pwi in anyway. (The Arc team kind **** up on that part but whatever f:meh )

    Alternatively, if you can't update Arc, go into your Arc directory and run the ArcRepair.exe
    That will fix the issue for you.

    If you were around the time people bypassed Arc, you may still be using Pando Media Booster. If you are, uninstall it. It has a major security breach that will allow a browser virus to be placed onto your computer.

    Also, follow the instructions of those above. ^^
