I know its bad on my server, and i can only assume its not that much better else where. The jump from the have and have-nots has become a issue.

I think they should implement a NPC that sells Tokens of Luck for 10-15k each to help curb the inflation of everything those little items control, like Hp/Mp food, pages, teles, skill books, hypers and other important day to day things.

I thnik that would be atleast a good way to get newer people and those that don't heavily CS to be more active plus those would would charge Gold to sell it for coins to get what they want quicker than farming the coins still stimulate the economy in a good way.

Feel free to elaborate on this, but I think it shows promise. b:byeb:thanks

Also posted this here as its got a good chance of being seen by more people.

Nope. Making duplicate threads isn't allowed and, at best, you just get the extras deleted (not to mention annoy a few people who find out you posted the same thing in multiple places).

Since you know this is a suggestion, I don't think I need to explain why it's here.

Sadly PWE doesn't care for the game being fun for free users.

Eh. China's too different from here to really say for sure. China probably wouldn't approve of (or develop) such a NPC... but at the same time they don't have the rampant cash shop issues we have.

So even if the folks on this side of the ocean approved (which I don't think would get through the top brass), China can shoot them down and... nothing could be done really.

Kossy can western PWE disable "Suggest Guardian Scrolls" in Configs.pck or just the chinese folks?
Sometimes players have the feeling PWE at this side of the ocean has absolutely no autonomy over the game, from my side of the monitor it seems like PWE really depends 120% on the chinese devs.

    Basically this.

Remember the R8R soulsphere glitch? Sure we got a 5-minute fix from a player but... PWE couldn't sponsor it (modification of game files) and at the same time wasn't allowed to make their own fix and had to wait for China to send them a fix.

We really are reliant on China for everything that can't be summarized as "Localization changes" or "Sale" even if it's something PWE could easily fix if they had permission to touch the code... and even then, sales can depend on what China decides too.

While I really like this idea, I am afraid the idea will never truly get off of the ground, unless pwi/pwe is actually willing to take a cut in the amount of packs they sell.

Even when tokens were at 10k each, people had to sell them for a fraction of what a new pack costs them, that will always be a constant. Still the token price will always feed off of the current price of gold. If they were still at 10k in this day and age of the game with the current gold prices, it will still effect their bottom line of just how many packs they sell.

Why? Quite simple, people can and will be impulsive, and the more money they get back for the worse prize from a chance, the better the chance, that they will continue to be impulsive and buy 'just 1 more' in hopes that the next one they buy will be the one that puts them ahead for a long time. If the return on the worse prize barely gives them anything back, the better the chance that they will leave, and never buy that chance 'pack' again.

The lottery games that can be played in stores get this fact, if people aren't winning at all, and they're putting out tons of cash, they will eventually wise up and stop playing; however, if the customer is winning a little every now and then, they are far more likely to continue to spend cash in hopes of the biggest payout of said game. As we all know when you do win in a lottery scratch of ticket, you always get back what you put into that specific ticket, even the free tickets are still essentially the 'face' value of purchase price of the ticket.

Sadly we can't have that with pwi, because there is an endless supply of 'money'/packs if we were getting back what spent on the pack every-time we opened one, we all could just reapply what we spent on that first pack on the next pack, and we would all eventually have everything we wanted from the packs. This would indeed allow them to sell a lot of gold, but it would have a real bad negative effect on the game, because we all would be running around in epic gear, and it would seriously impact a lot of the prices of the better things in game. Hell if they did this, they would arguably just be a private server with how easy it would be to obtain the best items in game. (Though yes there would indeed be a few things still in game that would still be extremely costly to obtain, still it would allow them to sell quite a bit of gold, if they give in game coin to people, and made sure it scaled to coincide with the current gold price of each server.)

Supply and demand has always effected the token price, obviously so has the gold price, still with higher gold prices, even with 'more coin in game' people will eventually say no thanks on the gold price, and no longer buy something that they aren't making good money on, which means supply will be low, while the demand can easily grow as more people come in/the more people use things from the tokens. Demand can only fall/cease to exist when there is either something better/newer out there, (this idea of an npc that sells tokens for a set lower price would be a nice coin sink, and would essentially fall under the new/better category here) or people cease to stop playing altogether. Still it would effect their bottom line, as I mentioned earlier. Less money from reselling the worse item in the chance pack, means less chances of people re-buying a chance pack. <-- That is unfortunately the sad truth of the matter.

Unfortunately between the gold price, and less of a demand for the chance packs, supply on the tokens is less, and demand has stayed the same, if not it has risen... since the first days of packs. Ergo we see this rise in price of tokens that many of us are absolutely despising.

    --

Again I really do like the idea, and I would definitely prefer the lesser price, but economically speaking, it really doesn't seem like the best business move/strategy.

I would much rather they do this, and take their chances of people not re-buying but yea... if it their main goal is to continue to make as much money as possible from chance packs, I really can't see them doing it. ;/

Past time for a change it is sad when I go to earthblade and see 3 players to raging tide and see 2. West Arch is not even crowded anymore. I am really not sure how to fix this but I can say I am concerned. Wc is full of fc fc I wonder who is playing really are there any new people coming on ? Squads are harder to get now and many people seem to only log to see friends NW or TW and bot. I really hope they can get this game back on track it feels like it is dying and that makes me sadb:cry

    Described my routine xD
Login -> 5% chances i'll make primal quests -> Bot -> Check every 5~10 minutes if someone talked to me.
    Friday/Sunday: I go to NW.

Now for the OP's request, like I said before: Apothecary NPCs could sell:
Limb Poultice of Death = 3500
Vigor Pills of Death = 3500
Chi poultice of Death = 1500
Life Poultice of death = 1500
reviving sap of death. = 6000

Would make NPCs take player coins away (thus deflating economy) and stabilize consumable prices.

But, like I said this is not what they want. They don't want you to have fun with this game, they only want you to spend money in it.
