just want to know if there's any solution for this matter. coz if using proxy was prohibited, any other way to connect?

    well sorry for the multiple thread, well the problem also our IT dept i think blocked it. so still any possibilities i could connect?

    There is a reason why the IT department blocked it. If they hardblocked it by IP, you're out of luck, unless you can somehow go and ask "hey, can you unblock PWI so I can play my game?".

    Would be a weird question if you are at work I guess. If it's not a work situation, you'll have to go ask.

    Proxy's are pretty much autobanned, which would be your only other option.

    my other option aside from our company connection was my data connection on my mobile..but im worried how much data it will consume..for example 24hrs/week

    Playing the game itself uses very little bandwidth. It's the updates that will get you. It's been a while since I posted the data, but IIRC, the client uses less than 5MB per hour of data transfer while in the heart of the Archosaur shop district. Maybe i'll go look for where I posted the data I got using Netlimiter.

    But at your company connection. Would recommend you to doublecheck your network usage terms for your company - **** like this can get you fired. IT admins and especially IT security officers tend to take a dim view on people that circumvent the network policies in order to play games. Because if you can get around them to game, you can also get around them to download... which opens up the opportunity for viruses to come in.

    Not sure if playing PWI is worth going on welfare for in this economy...

    actually we live here inside the company and they gave us internet connection here, so in the morning till afternoon my toon was doing auto culti only while im at work and i really can play my pwi at night.. its been months im doing like this and they dont complain, until yesterday i cant log in anymore. at 1st i thought i cant connect coz of maintenance until my ask me why im not online then ive tried my mobile data and its working, but ive tried again on our company connection and i cant log in. anyway is there any option beside using my data connection or using proxy that i know its prohibited

    Then check with your IT that port 29000 isn't blocked. If it is, then request that they open it for you.

    If its a site specific IT dept within a corporate entity with a headquarters elsewhere, it could be the corporate IT dept blocked access to anything game related be it gaming website or actual gameplay.

    Personally I wouldn't push your luck, or you might find yourself unemployed.

    Eh, you don't know his situation. Could be he's working at an oilrig or something - IE needs to remain on the worksite permanently, even in off hours. I can imagine situations where the "work" network would be used for personal purposes too. Rare, but possible.
