Scheduled Arc Maintenance 5/29

Greetings everyone,

We will be having a mandatory Arc maintenance at 6 AM PDT 5/29/14. This means all services will be down (Client, games, website) for about an hour.

    Do we know what this Maintenance is? Is is a reset or are you guys preparing to add more content to Arc, Like for example a working DQ alternative?b:chuckle

    Hey Sparkie!

    Does this mean that people will have issues to log in to PWI or will there also be a shutdown for people already logged in ? This is very important to know because on the website this is written it could last 4 hours which means 3PM to 7PM for Morai on a Thursday (and you know the bids period for TW...)

    But yea, for Morai the timing is inconvenient. Can't be helped though.

    Not if we have an answer because you can start bidding on Wednesday evening, but this means people should not wait the last hours to bid

    It's always possible to bypass Arc so the Faction Leaders can remain online through-out the day for placing bids. Plenty of guides on how to do it and it's easily reversed for after the maintenance if people prefer playing through Arc. A matter of placing 1 sentence (agument) to bypass, and removing that agument to reverse it.

    I'm assuming that "client, games, website" includes downage of the game servers themselves, so bypassing ARC won't help much if those are down Verenor ;)

    I'm curious what's being worked on. It's scheduled maintenance, sure, but that's a pretty hefty scheduled outage. From the sound of it -everything- is going down. Any specific reason or plans we could get a sneakpeek at, or is it just that - maintenance?

    Actually if I ask the question this is because they can decide to shutdown the server during the operations. How can you know what they plan to do ? In the official message they are talking about games that will stay online. PWI is not in this list, which is the reason of my post.

    The game itself will be down, even with the workaround you will not be able to access it for that maintenance time.

    The servers themselves are undergoing an slight change, however they need to be off in order to do so.

    Will we at least know of what this slight change is/will be?

    Also, is it safe to assume this will be in place of the regular maintenance?

    In addition to the regular maintenance. This downtime is across most of our games, and won't include any game-specific changes.

    Thank you sparkie, I knew my question was not that dumb ^^
    I hope the shutdown will be closer to 1h or less rather than 4 hours though because the time slot is not good for french players (especially during a blank day) and maybe some other european players.
    But well maintenances have to be done...

    The link says games will be online but here it says everything will be down.

    Bit of an inconvienient time for a maint isnt it?

    lets not do thing during normal maintenance hours lets take the game offline during prime morning play time - I hope the user community hands you guys your rear ends for the ongoing incosideratation to the players

    According to you post, ARC wasn't supposed to have maintenance started for another 2 and a half hours. I just tried to open it, got an error reply and now I can't even find its contents.

    Tried to be nice and let people know in world chat, I don't think they believe me.b:angry

    Why isn't there a message going across the top of the screen or at the red chat
    informing people of the maintenance? Most don't read forums, or read arc, or read at all.

    Oh well, I tried.

    Delay in the maintenance?

    Would be helpful to know if or not the maintenance is done.. since it would suck to enter a dungeon and the server goes down just that moment..

    Could we please get an update?

    Are the severs going down i don't want to waste my time getting into something if i'm going to just get d/c-ed like a lunar were i pay 3m and lose it. i'm just saying would like to get back to do things here could you let us know sparkie

    Arc was updated this morning so isn't it possible they've already done the mainenance and didn't pass the word to you guys?

    Arc Client just make this game more complicated, any change may not be able to make this game more attractive to gamers, Just wanted to make this game as an entertainment pastime only? Each stage of the change will affect the players of this game, they want to keep playing or stop playing it for granted and look for another place to play, all the choices that only you can determine, is not it?? b:victoryb:victory

    Arc will definitely be going down, so I would hold off on doing anything for the moment. Looks like it may be starting at 7 (don't hold me to that, I'm still trying to figure this out as well), so I'm not sure what happened or if there was any sort of mis-communication.
