anyone been able to improve internet speed of 8.1 yet?

i'll be damned if i wait 15 hours to install a game, so far i havent found a thing that helps yet.

    Um, with that amount of info I'll be surprised if someone could help you.

    First off, 8.1 what? Kbps, Mbps? "Bites per second?" Windows 8.1?

    Second, what are you running, wireless router? direct to modem? settings?

    How fast is your speed usually? Is your firewall on on the router/modem?

    Dorn't forget to also include where you are located, and maybe even a traceroute to the server. (Use the website pcsd.perfectworld.com for the download server.)

    Usually the issue lies either on your end with your network, or in the middle because of international/overseas trunk lines.

    i meant windows 8.1, my other 2 computers running windows xp download faster than this program. ive tryed all the fixes in microsofts postings, they either dont work or the person who posted them posted directions wrong, cause i follow step by step and get stopped when i cant find the next step. the posts that gave directions i could follow to the end, gave little or no improvement. I HATE MICROSOFT
