We look for the prettiest places. We keep the colors light, warm and inviting.
The Perfect World is Perfect!
But, what happens when you discover the darker, spookier side? (Cookies may or may not be included!)

There is something fascinating about finding a place not quite in the ordinary description of interesting, that reminds you of the shadows you used to be frightened of as a child.
Of the stories that gave you goosebumps and made you look twice behind you before going to sleep.

This is a place dedicated to the creepy parts of our oh-so delightful game!

Edited, unedited, goofy, awe-inducing or simply inspirational, as long as it is slightly spooky, share it here and let us feast our eyes!
It can be a place, a monster, a character... Be creative and enjoy! "Life's no fun without a good scare"! b:shocked

    Thanks Evalriab:cute Yes, Corpse Orchid was probably the first thing I thought of after reading your thread. I also have other screenshots where those snakes growing out of her body are better visible, but her poses are not as dramatic there b:laugh And I have one more screenshot with a similar atmosphere.. discovered that disturbing place in the City of the Lost as a low level newb, and did it scare me out b:shocked Look at those skeletons there in the pit.. And it is behind an invisible wall, you can't jump down there.

    Oh, dear. That place gave me the creeps in my nubcake past, too. Couldn't stop staring at it, and I remember reading every bit of the Lost quest lines trying to find out what could explain those skeletons being dumped in there.

    Nothing other than a "Sacred Beast" was mentioned, did the Untamed pay sacrifices to it occasionally? Where is the beast in there? Is it sealed by that annoying barrier and is actually invisibly watching us going about our quests?

    Very scary to think about, either way. And pretty depressing for those unfortunate pixel souls that ended up in there. o_o

    Despite Hell is considered the darkest place in the game by general consensus, I find it has very few genuinely 'creepy' spots... Darkly beautiful but not frightening at all.

    That statue and many others like it are around the entrance to Renegade, a very, very forgotten place. Didn't try going inside yet just to see what lies beyond the gate, it all looks so ominous...

    Evalria, just what is your resolution with this? Also what graphics card do you use? Or is it all just Photoshopped for better viewing? By the way, awesome screenie!

    Technically, my laptop is tiny, not a gaming laptop, so resolution and graphics card is sub par to what you'd expect from a gamer.
    All Photoshop magic for better viewing, like you said! Just a little mingling with contrast, intensity, sharpen and such, nothing too fancy because I hate changing too much from the game's natural charm.
