Reawakening problem.

I have a friend who cant reawaken, he doesnt have the New Horizons quest chain nor can he get the stone to rebirth from the Master of Cycles, he may have trashed the quest when the expansion came out, if so is there a way to get it back?

Any help is appreciated!!!

    Did your friend take the quest from General Summer that starts the reawakening process?
