Cleric vs bm question

in full g16 including weapon explain how u would break a bm stun (drakes bash demon not primald) without waiting the stun out(doesnt matter if ur healing). no rrr9 weapon or r8r weapon.
Servers: Archosaur(PvE US West) and Harshlands (PvP US East)

    Count to 5 after being Roared, Fortify. Sleep the BM, SoG, or use Plume Shell.

    Use Badge of Courage, same options as above.

    Expel and kite.

    so besides breaking the stunlock there is no way to break the stun thats already on the cleric?
    so a cleric cant be stunned by drakes bash and break it in under 3 seconds?

    Faith will remove any stuns and debuffs. I use it a lot against bms and sins and have badge and fortify on genies too to counter long regeneration times. We do not have any built in antistuns if that's what you mean.

    Don't SOG and SLEEP the BM, then cast plume shell, because when the stun locks ears off, Plume Shell will be on cool down when you die.





    What you should do it get FAR away, SOG, do the moray combo, sleep, and right before you start DDing the BM and waking him up, use plume shell. If you don't have the new Primal Cyclone, kite while ur boon and Cyclone are on cool down, don't waste so much on fortify for genie, bms have so many stuns, it's useless almost.

    From reading the two posts by OP.

    There are two ways to break out of a stun once stunned. Both require genie. One is faith, the other is Badge of Courage.

    Faith based genies are typically high mag/vit. Badge based genies need to be high dex.

    As you specifically said demon, not primal. As for the primal version neither of these genie skills work.

    Drake bash is especially worth breaking out of, seeing as the BM consumed a spark for it, and it lasts quite a while compared to other stuns.

    Before I got my R9rr set, i only had fortify on my genie to counter a bm stunlock.
    That being said i also had SOG before it. I am a skill nut and I must have all my skills or it drives me insane to no end.
    My normal tactic to counter a bm, if I see them coming, is to sog them. Now you might say the bm uses his antistun and gg. Not really. Sog works in two ways. One is a movement seal and the other is a seal. Antisleep works on the movement seal, but the seal still works fine. So basically, the bm has two choices.1. Run out of range since he cant use skills or to spam his keys hoping his stun goes off first once sog wears off. Most choose the later not knowing there antistun wears off a nice two seconds b4 sog does. This is when to act, you sleep him, and set up for your combo.
    Unless you build a genie for badge you cant really do much to break out of a stunlock short of faith or using fortify at the proper time. And taking full advantage of the 3 seconds it gives you either combo fortify into ig or into an antistun apoth. I tend to do the later if I have
    problems getting sleep/sog onto the bm. Since when most see a ig they ig themselves or run out of range.
    Also, if you keep getting stun locked using guardian light is an awesome way to reduce the damage you take while stunned. Since gl is instant it tends to get in when some times plume shell gets interrupted. Although, losing a spark is a regrettable it can save your life.
