I recently did my first thread on here called “the state of MY game”. One or two people bashed it and others agreed with me. This is my second thread and probably my last, the future is uncertain. Earlier today I was checking out some other MMORPGs and in reading about them, looking at screenshots and installing one or two I realized why I keep coming back to Perfect World. I speak of the easy and varied character customization, the world (environment) itself is simply beautiful, the controls are easy to learn and use, the trolls in world chat are amusing, but most of all it was the first game of this sort that I played and I created and got attached to my first toon “Kyotaka”. At the time I created him the game was in its early stage, so I didn’t know much about how to grow a decent blademaster. I put stat points everywhere and he became pretty weak and messed up, money was never my strong point so I didn’t bother with a reset note, instead I quit for a while.

When I decided to come back I started a new blademaster “kyokede”. I did a whole lot of reading, so stat wise he is pretty okay and my faction members were kind enough to help me with his current gears, he is level 90 now, but despite all of this I realized that I still can’t enjoy this game. Now when I read I realized that people complain about a lot of things like imbalanced classes, FCC, OP gears, APS etc…, but those things have never really bothered me. My problem is the economy and the true population of perfect world. The reason why imbalance classes don’t bother me is because I read first and decided which path I wanted to go and I just love blademasters. FCC is more of a benefit in my opinion, especially for people with multiple toons; redoing all those quest is just too tedious. OP gears I’ll never have them and I don’t PVP so I don’t let them bother me and APS just seems cool to me.

The economy sucks; they should rename the game and call it life. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and gets left behind. Now they’re many suggestions people have made to get some cash. Farming normal mats (takes time that I as a college student don’t have), farming TT mats (not worth as much as they used to, plus single mode barely drops anything worth selling and people don’t do TT anymore, so the chance of finding a squad is pretty low), get an OP sin and sell FCC (really, really it’s going to take a whole lot of sough to create him; which point of broke don’t you understand), do Cube of Faith/Luck(I recently gambled my last 2mil on anniversary packs, just to realized I’m not that lucky) and the last thing which I kind of rare and inconsistent get a good LP genie and sell it(This game is a digital casino).

Anyone who have read this far probably think I’m just some broke player; well you’re right, but what I want to make this game enjoyable for me isn’t coins. Perfect World wasn’t made for people like me. I remember when those prepaid cards came out, but that’s was only for overseas, then the earn Zen thing came, but none of them worked for my region, so I have given up on that area; instead I want to meet players from my country. I have completely given up on endgame gears and status. Leveling takes forever because I barely see BH squads and crazy stone will continue to suck me out more and more.

My request is this if anyone knows any active Jamaican player no matter what server (yes I’m willing to start over) please let me know. That’s my request, please help me out.

i feel ya mate, plus you cant make money if no one wants to help you. Every high level guild says they do runs and they only do them with the same group of people. If you got left behind you got ****ed

That just my life now in PWI. I think i would be able to find new joy if i was playing with people who i had things in common with. Many players here play with their real life friends, so despite the negatives, its still kind of fun

So 3ish years ago the school year was over and i now faced boredom for 6 weeks. A friend suggested this. After quitting twice and a bit of work im now a high level and can kill almost everything b:laugh

I know what you mean with the money issues as well. I used to spend ages farming high grade mats, but for the time you put in you dont get much back in terms of money. Nowa days i just solo TT or fc and sell. i prefer not to solo fc though, im not a fan of power lvlers b:laugh

My point though, you will get there in the end dude b:victory

Well, to answer, real life, that includes school, work > PWI, people only play games, do stuff if they have free time on their hands, also depends what you do, I still could play PWI when I was studying in the university, not as much but still, you can still make some money, now with the implemented botting system it`s even easier, hence the economy is even more screwed.

And if you have decent gear, you could concentrate on leveling to 100 1st, and then you can start making real money (BH 100 rewards for instance). When I was leveling up I had nasty gear, hell I even thought TT 80 - 90 gears are unattainable for me, times were harsh but if you keep playing, you will learn the game better and how you can make money more easily.

So far I have to agree with everyone who has posted. It isn't always about endgame gear, or your level, but the path you take in the game that you find most enjoyable.

I never buy the big room, and have only done full FC twice. I find the instance easy, boring, and don't care about xp. All this and I am a 101 seeker.

The enjoyment I get from the game is through friends I have made from around the world, my faction and its members, and how we all help each other when we can, the ease of play, customizations, atmosphere, plus others, but those are the main points.

It sounds to me what you need is a fairly active, casual faction made up of people that play to have fun. I hope you can find something like that on your server, but if not, and you are willing to try a different server, on RT, Malice would welcome you. I normally play in the afternoons and evenings of most days eastern time. If you are interested send me a whisper in game on LuckingFoco. If you wish to stay on your own server, then best of luck to you!!
