Arc Intergration

First off, I'd like to say that this is not a qq thread, nor is it a thread filled with "how dare you" nonsense. It is simply one persons opinion about arch insofar, as well as upcoming.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'm concerned about the mandatory launching of pwi through arc that is being introduced early April. (I believe the 2'nd, but I never looked to hard for an exact date; pwi tends to be... Less than..... Punctual, shall we say? like DQ rewards being removed back in November, and yet you can still use the page with certain bypass measures. Or, like the wiki being down for a "week," but at least sparkie is doing a wonderful job keeping us updated on that so far b:pleased )

For my personal experiences with arc, I have no issues with it. I was concerned it would be a bloatware that would mess with my computer in one way or another, and also about security issues, but since downloading it to regain access to blessings I'm no longer worried about these things. My fiancee, before his recent run-in with the staff, even talked about how arc seemed to make the game run more smoothly. So, hats off to it for doing that much, considering he plays pwi through an apple computers VMware. I'm aware that games over time change, sometimes for the better and other times for the worse, but at this point I'm indifferent towards arc. Yes, it peeved a lot of people off, but lets be honest here; a lot of their arguments are baseless rages about "how dare you make me install another thing on my computer qq I'mma quit now and go tell my mom kay bai see you in three days." (Yes, sadly, this is what 90% of you sound like when you present baseless arguments and quit threats. I can assure you, the devs don't care if you threaten to quit, if you hate the game so much, you'd be gone by now.) And others... Well, they've been using it as an excuse to quit.

Pwi has made mistakes before by releasing things that didn't work, the most recent of which being the orb fiasco. For those of you that missed it, lets just say pwi lost a LOT of revenue, abusers for a slap on the wrist and the rest of us got a slap in the face. (again, thanks so much for the hypers, so much better then 3 dragon orbs, and SOOO much better than appropriately punishing the abusers. Glad to see you guys thinking of the playerbase, there. )

My only worry about what's coming is that they've admitted that they haven't gotten multi-clienting to work yet through arc, and that they're "working on it," but they have a set and announced release date that is rapidly approaching with no word on when they're going to fix this issue. I enjoy playing pwi as much as the next person, or I wouldn't be here. But, one of the big reasons I can enjoy this game without feeling overly much like it's a constant grind for gold just to get by is through merchanting. This is how I pay for my day to day needs in pwi, this is how I'm farming my R9 gear. I used to cash, but I don't anymore, and I don't believe pwi is so completely uncaring to their non-cashing players as a lot of the bitter nose-to-the-grinder "farmers" would have you believe. The game is built up by cash players and non cash players working together to make the economy move. People buy gold, people sell gold that they bought with RL money.

That having been said... If arc is released without multi-clienting capabilities, I'll be forced to choose between actually playing, or running my catshop. Playing is... Well, to be frank, hard without the support money from my catshop, and why on earth would I want to run a catshop if I couldn't play?

I'm fully aware that this post likely won't change anything, I just wanted to voice a concern of mine that I'm sure a lot of other players share, cashers or not cashers. VERY few players these days DON'T own a catshop, and I'm not privileged enough to be able to afford 2 computers to bypass this issue at this point; a little thing called rent stops me from that.

In summary, I ask that you don't make this integration until it works.

Please, don't give us another broken "feature" that's going to throw the game into spirals for weeks to come! I have no problem with it being made mandatory, I just want to know that I'll be able to continue gaming the way I have until now.
