Awakening Question

Hello, I just returned to the game and I am happy to see all the new content. The addition of the meridian system, awakening and new zones.

My question is regarding stat allocation when you reawaken, I read that your stats are reset to 0.

I currently have an archer that has the strength to use fists. Prior to the new content, I was already planning to restat him to pure dex.

Would it affect the total dex of my character if I restat him with a note prior to awakening?
