It is 1 bot he says/spams go to such n such for gold best deals website everyday on RT non-stop, usually a new toon everyday it appears.

I'm just a little irritated that PWE doesn't Ban this user IP address, or mute the person who links these websites on world chat.

I'm also curious as to why Pwe doesn't have the red system message any more warning users to be alert? I do understand send in a ticket report the user but what use is it when the person can just make another char spam world chat all over again?

Edit title: What could PWE to do bots if they constantly spam world chat? Silly me made a mistake :(

    They have a toon for every server. Same thing, day after day. I'm also getting a little fed up with it.

    Same thing happen on HT server, all we can do atm is report it and blacklist said bot.

    Banning user IP address can be done, but then again said culprit can always use proxy and access PWI from different IP address.

    So far what I know is PWE will ban the user account, then again, said culprit could create many account just for the spam bot.

    IMO, this can be prevented both ways, PWE by doing the banning and we as community to warn others in the game as many people have already did on world chat.

    b:surrender Would be helpful if there's an active GM for each server.

    -Most likely because users like that use proxy servers. Banning their IP adress may ban multiple users but not him for he will move to another proxy server.

    Mods say PWE bans botters. Players know they don't.

    Gold selling spam doesn't bother me as much as it used to, for several reasons.
    1, their exchange rate is pretty outdated; even if you wanted to use a gold selling service, it's usually and probably still cheaper just to buy the zen and sell the gold.
    2, since botting is legal and enabled via the game itself, there's no reason for anyone capable of botting even for a limited time to ever bother with such a service.
    3, I have long since given up on the 'managers' of pwi to deal with spammers of this sort ever.
    It mostly just makes me laugh that these "gold farmers" even bother trying.

    In a truly perfect world I would expect the management to do something about it, but as they're more content to disable us from functioning as we're used to and care nothing about TOS abuse, I say just do what I do, disable WC from squad chat/ faction chat tab and when not looking for a squad for something, stay on the squad chat/ faction chat tab.

    I'm getting fed up with this myself. It's one thing to see it once in a blue moon but every night? This is getting me pissed off big time. Sparkie if your reading this please get that abomination off our game screens! b:cry

    Maybe they could just add such links to the list that turns all swearing words to **** so the link isn't visible anymore.

    i would like to point out using a proxy to play the game is in and of itself a ToS violation, infact if the server even detects the proxy its an instant 1 year ban. tho sadly your correct, if the botter is using a public network or public wifi anyone on that IP would be banned they do ban the bots, wich honestly is probably why there is a new toon spamming every few hrs. they won't do an ip ban due to the risk of it being a public IP and if they just ban the account, it gets recreated.

    Yes, that bot is 24/24 in RT server and spams our eyes in wc. I voted instant ban and a shot in the head.

    The question is : Where they get that many teles from ? Spaming a thing every 5 mins , 24/24 means milions of teles/ mounth.

    This reminds me of what happened to -Banana-. first there was one bot, then another, then another. Now that game is FULL of them and hardly any players. b:angry


    If u ban them, then another will be made to take it's place. Whereas, mute them, and they think they are advertising when they are not

    -Coconut- had a terrible botting problem, ironically on "Bot Nuke Day" they didn't just kill all the bots, they banned almost everyone (seemingly).

    I had literally the day before been fishing in Catherby, the following day after Bot Nuke Day, Catherby was empty. And I mean a true empty, there was nobody in the whole city.

    -Banana- is really old now, it's ancient. I played it online a couple weeks ago -- 2 players on US East. I then proceeded to make my own lobby and the first thing that happens is 5 bots join to spam.

    From 1 side I love gold site spammers, they make the natural selection process much easier, idiots deserve to be "****" but from another view, they pollute WC even more than the occasional ******* on it with their prepubescent teen nonsense. What I really hope is for an unlimited black list when next expansion arrives, then we will have no problems (IP black list, I have 10 accounts in it from 1 moron already and it`s filling up fast...)!
