Contemplating server move.

So, i'm not tryin to be all butthurt, but it does seem as tho the east coast servers are down more than the others. not tryin to be a **** about it, i'm just makin an observation.

so, i'm thinking about jumping to a different server, but first i have a few questions.

which server has the lowest prices/best economy?

which server has the greatest amount of competitive factions on the map?

which server has the least amount of whining high level, but somehow nooby on world chat?

which server has the least amount of aps players?

which server has the largest population?

which server has the smallest population?

if yall could answer even just afew of those, it would be greatly appreciated. sorry to the mods if this was put in the incorrect place. i found the server section, but no general server talk section, and didn't think putting this under the raging tides server section woudl yield the best results for opinions on other servers.

    lol, they are all greedy/messed up economically

    all are competitive

    Also, APS doesn,t work that well end game anymore. You are not going to see a lot of lolapesins, but a lot of high DPH sin, BMs and archers.

    I've just moved from DW having played there since the start to Morai, mainly because I live in the UK and I can TW/NW/Events at a time when I'm not half asleep or fully asleep.

    It's fairly well populated but I've have noticed that DW seems to be more a 24hr server where as I find Morai or at least WC very quiet in the mornings (UK time) and again from like 11pm GMT so it's harder to find squads unless ur waiting on a FSP squad at server reset.

    Economy is broke lol if it was a country I'm sure it would be bankrupt. Gold is around 3.4m at mo but I seen it being traded for 3.8m last week. Items are more expensive here compared to DW with token prices around 22k-25k (when I left DW u could still get for 16-18k)

    Most people are friendly but WC has a lower IQ population compared to DW or maybe on DW they just hide themselves better I don't know :D

    The move has suited me, found a great faction, working on some great gear and levelling my new seeker.

    One thing tho I don't half miss my barb :'( I so wish I could move him over to Morai

    I happened to realize that RT server population was lower than usual the other night (based on the catshops throughout Archosaur), and it was definitely without reason that the population should have been as low (such as after maintenance, etc, that you would expect it). So I asked in wc if there is a more populated server, and the answer I was given was Dreamweaver server. So I started a toon there, made my way through all of the new starter zone quests, and off to the real PW map of DW server.

    I walked around Archosaur and noticed it is noticeably more populated with catshops, but not that much more populated. The DW gold price was around 2.2 mil, compared to RT's 2.6-2.8 mil. The DW auction molds, skill books, and elite general gear sections (as far as how filled up with items listed) werent really any different than RT's same sections. The DW commission shop npc had only 2-4 more shops than RT usually has available.

    After browsing said key points, I took a walk out west arch gate to chit chat with some of dem folk. Looked about as busy as RT's west gate area to be honest. I asked them how many people show up to NW per nation, and they told me about 175 each, but half they said were alts. From that I would guess DW NW's have ~160-185 per nation, and maybe 15% of those are alts. The difference is not all that far off from RT, with 130-150 per nation and having about 10% alts (of which you can clearly see when there are 6-9 players in base per nation, with the losing nation having about 35).

    So after that I realized, it does not pay to move to DW, even though it looks like about where RT was maybe 6 months or so ago. By the time I would build up to where I am at now on RT, DW would look exactly like RT looks now (saying it took me 6-8 months to build up). So would I find myself moving again at that point? So why move anywhere now? Without a Server Merge, RT is where I am till the death of this game, or till one of the new games finally comes out that peeks my interest. Which sounds to be about April 2nd so far (the death of this game via the forcing of Arc on the player base). And although I may stick around a lil after that and see where RT is at, I sure as hell will not be going to any other PWE title ever again.

    It doesnt matter. Switching servers can be refreshing at first, as when I tried it I found a more laid-back 'let's play the game for the sake of playing it' attitude - but in the end, its all the same.

    As time passes you might discover that ithat feeling was just a self-imposed temporary illusion for a bit.

    I would suggest staying where you are. Even I went back to RT for a short bit, because that is where I have invested so much time and money. Right now, I just consider myself retired. *shrugs*

    Totally agree. To me, this game has been steadily losing population since the release of R9, and I remember when I first started playing people saying R8 was why they were leaving - but, there were still plenty of new players like me coming on the server to play and have fun with on a daily basis. Thanks to the games desire to depend on more and more out-of-the-players-pocket expenses to keep up, people became more greedy and ruthless, but I still played - just kept more and more to myself. Cant use the battlegrounds because my gears are like a Model-T Ford on the Autoban now. b:laugh

    I still persevered to try to play, but once I couldnt get the blessing without downloading a bunch of garbage I dont need just to stick with ONE mmo; or performing time consuming stupid pet tricks on my PC to get around that, I gave up.

    Its just become more like a game I was playing to get annoyed, and real-life does more than enough to annoy me. b:chuckle

    I almost agree with you, though I'm from the opposite side of the spectrum and started on DW and tried to move to RT a while back. RT still feels like a ghost town to me in comparison to DW. I managed to get my seeker on RT to level 100+ and just recently rebirthed in my attempts to see if maybe RT got a second wind of life. In which I found was the opposite. It looks more dead than before. RT community seemed more...eh...mean than DW? And the fact that everything is more expensive and hard to come by on RT never made it easy to start new.

    But that's just me lol. Maybe it's because all of my friends from RT had long since left the server and/or game and I had no one to talk to or help me farm anything, even after joining a new fac....
