By any chance, since it doesnt say it in rule description could two or more people remake a quest-line together? Me and my friend already started doing it but i just want to make sure. We'd end up splitting any type of prize we get anyways.

I am sorry but i must say how i feel...and this is just a silly idea. While i totally agree we NEED more people to use and be aware of the forums again....this probably is an idea that is just doomed to fail. What we really want is more events IN GAME. We need more things that we can do to keep people interested in the game itself. The forums are here and everyone knows that already...the problem is the game and getting people to not quit or to play more. While the forums are a great asset and help people out not enough people really frequent them anymore for this to really make a difference...you are losing players every day due to the failed responses to tickets and improper punishment of players. One perfect example is the orb code glitch...so many people quit after that failed supposed ban on players...many of whom were big Cash Shoppers and got to return to PWI right away by QQing in a ticket. We need more attention to in game activities if you really want to get this game rolling again.

That shouldn't be a problem, so long as you're fine with splitting the prizes somehow, which seems you are.

This is just the start. We've got plans for a big in-game event coming shortly that should be pretty fun. With all of these ideas, we'll do them and judge how the community responds. If they like them, awesome, we'll do them again and improve on them. If they don't, we'll scrap them and come up with something more interesting.

mm i dunno, some of these people i think the community would agree that they deserve something those players deem useful ingame, not just some dinky dink on the forums. I know some pple contributed to the community for years (the whole 5year yards) and got squat ingame.

Yeah, I meant for like a contest though. Some people deserve recognition regardless of any contest. Whereas with a contest, even people with like 50 posts of mostly sweetie spam would be able to enter. It's not much of a contest if you just put it between only the most helpful people, and that seems kind of rude to make them compete for it anyway, especially if there is any type of popularity aspect involved.

One event isnt enough....when i look at the other MMO's out there right now and then look back at PWI i see a HUGE lack of care from the company. Other MMO's have events REGULARLY...new different changing events all the time. We get the same **** events in game throughout the year...many of which are glitched. If you plan on keeping this game alive much longer with all the people quitting left and right pwi needs more insight and care. IJS

Also out of curiosity, the quest line remake. Could it be done as a story also? (cuz apparently me and my friend got to involved in it and it became a story of pwi in the quest line haha) Went to a prolog to the quest... to a story XD lmao. I wonder if that would work too lol. If not then we'll finish the story and submit that WITH the quest part seperated. Its actually a pretty funny and neat story honestly. Its kinda like a fantasy/action/love story XD its neat.

Any one got any ideas regarding it lol.

Just as an update if you haven't seen the original post, but we aren't officially starting the Lore Weaver event just yet. That doesn't mean you can't still work on it, because we encourage you to do so if you want. However, we want to make this as seamless and easy as possible, so we're currently trying to work out some things regarding the event. As always, feel free to ask me anything regarding the event, discuss it in the newly created "Community events" section in General Forums, or PM me.

The lack of pages this thread has generated should be an example of what i said earlier....this is just a bad idea....most people dont even care about forums anymore..and while i do encourage friends to use it making events designed to increase the use of the forums is a failed plan if you ask me. There are many rumors going around that PWI is getting close to a dead end..that PWE is selling the arc platform and so forth....ijs this is all very discouraging news as i see more and more players leave the game. There are significant less cat shops in Arch than there were say a month ago. Wake up guys....i LOVE pwi...but its not being taken proper care of and no silly event on forums to encourage participation here is going to help the actual game. Just like you didnt listen to the majority of players about how much we DESPISE the arc system....im sure this will be ignored as well...sad to say that i personally am feeling as though it is time to look for a new game to play.

Guest Blog idea seems like a great idea.

Q1) How will all the guest blog guides be grouped?
Q2) Many players will write similar guides, but would it be possible to combine guides to have more complete guides gathering information from different individuals??
Q3) Will the blog/guide be shifted to the PWI-Wiki page at all? If so, it will be easier to group and categorize guides under different categories.

On a side note, this is a great idea to have a central location for guides.
Allows for a single location to redirect friends and faction members to if they need help on something. That way, the knowledge is always accessible and as the game changes, we can continuously update guides to current patches and expansions.

Sorry, not trying to ignore any questions but sometimes I don't see them. To answer both of your questions though, right now we're re-working the rules for the event. I'd say if you have a story in mind, try to flush that out instead and work on getting it to proper quest format. IE, not too long, that it fits within the original quest parameters, etc. A good analogy would be, treat the existing quest text as a comic book speech bubble. If there are only say 30-40 characters in the original quest text, try to make your new story fit within that. Of course, if the quest is a chain quest, then continue to follow your story through the multiple steps.

1. For now, we're going to try and pick 1 winner and post their blog on the website, with links to runner ups. In time, we will host as many as we can, but we want to start small until we can build up a solid foundation on how everything works.

2. We would like to keep it to 1 player writing the blog. That said, I would not mind if two or more worked together and put all their ideas into 1 concise blog.

3. Not sure yet, as we haven't discussed this in much detail. I'll be sure to bring it up with DoD though and get his opinions.

You are encouraged to create your blog in another medium, IE Wordpress, etc and post the preview link in the submission forums. Of course, you can also copy and paste the text format along with the link, but try to give us a preview of what your final product will look like.

Videos can work, but keep in mind not everyone viewing your blog has the fastest internet out there, so loading the page could become a pain for them. If you can get a video in there that isn't gigantic, go for it, but just keep in mind video sizes for everyone who may possibly view your blog.
