What's Causing This?

West coast servers are fine for me o.o. This does happen to me sometimes, and it's usually just Lost City. I find restarting my router and computer at the same time to fix it.

You only THINK there is nothing wrong with "your Internet". The thing is, YOU don't have any Internet, we all share the same web. The signal(packets) sent to PWI's servers that tells the server what you just typed into your client(your game) and the message that the servers send to your client(what your character actually does), this exchange happens through many servers and routers between here and there. If even one packet is dropped during the process of the data transfer your could see no connection, at the very least you will see lag.

The InterNET is exactly that, it is a big net, a network of computers all jiving together in one big giant dance all agreeing to speak the same language. Sometimes they cannot communicate and you have Internet issues.

So in reality, "your Internet" isn't yours at all, it is all of ours.

This is not unique to you though, it doesn't matter who your Internet provider is, we are all using the same Internet. The only thing your provider can do is ensure that you can at least get into the Internet. They can try their best to make sure your data gets to where it needs to go, but try is all they can do in the end, make a couple phone calls, talk to a couple people and hope it all works out well.

You do not, nor will you ever have a direct line to the PWI servers.

Anyway, check again, it might be working again for you, you might have just been a bit hasty. I have seen similar things before myself, I just wait a few seconds it shows up.

Lastly, "Internet" is a capitalized word, it is a proper noun like, Cincinnati, or New York.
