If any boss is lured on you when auto cultivating

I see it's against the rules when people lure bosses to events, but what if someone lures a boss on you when you're auto cultivating? Can you report them? Is it worth it? Is that against the rules?

    ... once you set autoculti, you're basically turning your toon into an NPC. As this is a game, at that point you've turned your character into an object for everyone else's amusement.

    I see sniping a bot, particulary an annoying one who's hogging quest mobs as a glass cannon, as no different then taking out a miniboss. Also, most effective way is not to lure the boss to the bot, but the reverse. Pick up a mob near the boss and lure it to the bot. Once the bot goes toward it, fly up so the mob yellowglows back to position. Any bot will then chase that mob home. (Also useful for luring bots into a tight cluster of enemies to simply overwhelm em. Quick way to get rid of squishy Sins... gods know we got a surplus of those).

    -an event is a limited time span, set up by the staff for us
    auto culti is 24/7 bot set up by you for you

    - Make sure you dont have useless **** messages on your chatbox, i usually clear mine to whispers. Also the tiny dmg box can keep record for a few hours if something killed you, its there. Get on your main and farm that open boss, there is money to be had. b:angry

    That would imply that you're preventing them from actively doing quests or dailies, not "auto cultivating".

    And lots of things are against the T.O.S but plenty of people still hereb:bye

    You most certainly can. As I was a victim of that myself. I was farming mobs in a location as well ascheckign emails, fb, faction website, what-have-you, and came back to the screen seeing some ******* dropping 1coin trails all over the place to lure me away because HE wanted that spot. . MOREOVER I moved and he STILL did it. Knowing full well I was there

    I see no reason you couldn't do the same to him if you asked him to stop and he didn't. If killing people on a PvP server isn't griefing then using the environment to fight for a spot really shouldn't be either.

    This guy gets it. I wouldn't even be bothered if I auto-cultivated and got lured away or killed, so I cant imagine why so many get their undies in a bunch over it. Competing for areas and mobs isn't a new thing.

    I can share some info about this one...
    Someone did that to me many times a day to try to take my spot.
    i didn't have any answer from support (the just told me they were not able to take any decision regarding that). I finally got an answer from a french CM telling me to go in safer zone if I didn't want to be killed...

    Sounds about right. You're setting your toon to run on it's own. PWE shouldn't be expected to take action against someone for moving you away. Here on LC, we just kill them. Sins will use Spoils of War as a huge Up Yours as well.

    Griefing? ROTFL! Get a life. Come bot on lost city and see what we do to bots here. They're target practice and sins love to farm DQ from bots.

    Bots on any server ought to be fair game for any type of PK whether by pvp or pve. Quit whining. Griefing. LOL you have no clue what griefing is.

    Actually this doesn't really shock me. I didn't try to contact support/GM to make him stop but just to be sure I was allowed to do the same in return.
    The funny part is that I stay White Name when auto-cultivating on my main but he was probably afraid to enable pk mode. So he lured that boss that is not that easy to move where I was.

    It is my understanding that luring any boss away from its intended area especially with the intent to disrupt another players game play is against the ToS....but as anyone will tell you getting someone banned for it is all but impossible...especially if you are auto cultivating how will u take a SS of the person that did it and PROVE they did it? GMs will just laugh at your ticket sadly like they laughed at all the people that got away with the orb abuse code for free.

    Actually since the guy lured the boss several times in a row on me, I decided to keep an eye when I was able to. So I saw him bringing the boss with his main and also got PM where he was saying he will continue doing it.
    In addition to that when I told to CM something like "Following your answer I assume I can do the same" she didn't disagree.

    Why PVP them when you can have a boss kill them and they lose EXP at the same time?

    Sometimes it's not even about taking the spot, most of times I find lots of people auto-cultivating mobs, like OHT daily mobs or GBQ mobs, it could be really annoying when you just try to get your quest done >_>

    I see nothing wrong with doing that. If you wanna do your dailies and there are 1-5 botters that 1-hit something, you are FORCED to lure them away or kill them. There are many mobs that only spawn in certain areas and like Morai or Primal World, those spots are filled up with botters pretty fast. Not to mention the people that are still doing their regular quests 90-100 and need mobs on the open world.

    If youre auto-cultivating, you allow your toon to KS. You prevent others to do their quests, and its not like they could just wait 2 hours and try it again (it would be barefaced to expect them to wait in the first place) cause in 2 hours they will be there too. Or other botters.

    So to do your quests you need to "fight" against them, either in luring them away or let them attack a boss.

    Autocultivation is, like some other features in PWI, only balanced if its on a PvP server. Since there arent chinese PvE servers, we cannot expect changes because those problems related to PvE servers dont arrive there.

    Be happy autocultivating is there at all. If they wanna make it against the ToS to lure someone away or kill him, theyd need at least make a change so bots will stop attacking mobs that are near other players or attacked by them.

    I don't understand people talking here about dailies and autoculti (there is another topic about that)
    OP is talking about luring boss and as far as I know there are not a lot of boss that you can lure on people in Morai, Primal World or 100+ base quests zone

    You all automatically assume and incorrectly so that every person who is using the auto-cultivation is not actually sitting there and watching...

    That is EXACTLY what I do. I sit right here and watch it, for hours and hours. I might as well be playing but I find it rather hypnotic.

    I had someone try to kill me with a boss once, I just stopped my auto-cultivation for that time being and resumed when the childish person left. Barely even an annoyance.

    You all just need to get over it, plain and simple. Auto-cultivation is here to stay so are those who use it. I can make a few suggestions. Quit playing the game, join in the auto-cultivation and keep playing the game or just plain stop complaining.

    For all your whining, your efforts are wasted.

    I typed this while I am auto-cultivating, to which I shall return, there are millions of coins to be made!

    Well...If someone goes into autocult while they're in PvP, they should expect to die

    As for PvE, I think they should probably find a farming location that isn't near a miniboss...Would solve that problem

    Then if someone drags a boss/miniboss to them they can try to call it out...


    My advice for auto-cultivation: prepare for the worst...Survive the best. Some people are jerks and will **** with the toon...Unfortunately we can't change that b:surrender
