Auction House Empty?

I've been wondering about this and searching for an answer for a few weeks now, and haven't been able to find out much of anything.

I stopped playing PWI for probably two or more years now, but have recently come back since I found out a few of my friends played it. I'm not sure if something changed while I was gone or not, but does anyone know why the auction house is so empty? I did read all the threads about how fashion on the AH is apparently completely broken as of right now, but I never even seem to be able to find things like mounts, flyers, and low/mid level weapons and armor either. (Low level armor I'm assuming is because of all the newbie stuff they give out now, but at level 60 I'm still needing more than that.) Anyone know why this is? Is there something I'm not seeing here? Kind of a bummer not to be able to shop for my armors and such like I used to. :S

    well flyers and mounts are much too expensive to list in the AH, if it sold they would lose a big chunk. noobie armors arent in there much because not many people play in those areas anymore... plus those FBs now drop untradable gold armors that are more sought after anyways... I do see TT stuff listed in there every now and then if that helps any... if you were looking for that kind of armor and cant find it to buy, it would be faster just making it yourself if you can, or search for molds instead.

    Most items stack higher than they used too, at least TT mats do, they are no longer restricted to just a stack of 20, they now stack up to 100+-200+, maybe more. So now cat shops can sell them in large numbers, This reduces the need for the AH to sell these items now because people can unload all of their wares from one location and without the standard AH fee.

    Then you have the commission shops, pretty much one stop shopping. Just head on over the bank in West Archo and there is a guy standing right there who will give you access to everyone's commission shops where you can buy and sell(sell, if you have the required cash shop item) items right there, you can also browse things for sale or purchase in the commission shops from anywhere in the world.

    Then you have the fashion glitch which, at the moment is no allowing anyone to sell any fashion on the AH, it seems you can sell certain items though, like seaspray slacks, those can be put in the AH, I saw those there the other day. But by and large fashion is a "no go" for the AH.

    Take all this into consideration and the AH looks like it might be in danger of going away. Still, there are TT mats, armors and weapons for sale on the AH, though not as much TT mats as there used to be. The skill books and tomes market on the AH is still very much alive.

    My own observation, I never see any kind of soul gems for sale on the AH anymore. I still haven't got that one figured out, I won't know for sure until I go to sell a Perfect Citrine Shard or something on my own, whether or not the AH is still even capable of that.

    Ah, alright, I guess all of that makes sense. I do miss how simple it used to be (in my opinion anyway), but maybe I just haven't played enough/gotten high enough level to get more in-depth with TT forges and such? Not sure why they made the gold armors untradeable either, since I can't even sell or trade among my friends the armors that I can't use. D: Anyways, thanks for the answers!
