R8/Nirvana >> R8.5

So, I've recently decided to rebuild my assassin and notice that PWDB says R8,5 items always come out 4 socket. But I recall seeing 2 and 3 socket pieces.
Can anyone confirm this?
Been more than a year since I quit playing, but still on rankings.

    r8 is 3 or 4, recast is 4

    Yes R8r is always 4 sockets.

    It's always 4 sockets when you craft it to R8r, but the only exception is if you transfer your previous gems in your R8.

    For example, if you have 3 Diamond of Tigers in your R8 chest, and you want to save them when you upgrade to R8r, you do that via Chienkun stones. And when it's done, you'll keep your 3 DoT in your newly crafted R8r, but it will only have the previous 3 sockets that your R8 had.

    Yeah, I figured it out, when remembered that some sin on RT had his R8r with 2 sockets and +10, because R8 was such.
