If there was a new server being made, would you go to it?

I know some servers are empty and need merging blah blah blah...but in some fantasy scenario would you move to a newly made server just for a "fresh start"?

I probably would try to have just 1 main character there and when I got endgame gear try to make that toon real good for NW then farm and make alts afterwards.

In the extremely unlikely event that another server was made, I might well make a toon there (I have toons on most servers now), but it's unlikely I'd play it much.

I wouldn't. I played on other servers for some time but I don't have a lot of free time anymore and I'm just focusing on my Sanctuary toon(s).

They won't do that but even if they do I don't want another fresh start.
The only exception could be if they create a PVP server EU time but I don't want to leave my current server and won't have enough time to seriously play on two different servers.

Before the culti system i wanted a merge so bad tho.

but now i fear that would mean the end to any chance of killing a mob that isn't being instagibbed by 4 different bots XD

You make all the servers PVP and it ends the afk botting problem for the most part.

yea no thanks. i don't like the pvp part of pwi at all. i only want to pve so if we get forced on pvp servers i'll be really mad. maybe even quit. pvp in pwi is useless for non csers like myself.

took me ages to get full +10 tt99+g16+g15 5aps gear as an assassin and i still get 1 shot by r9rr ones in NW by just a damn knife throw.

Pvp in a p2w game will always be garbage, I also hate it, fat kids with their several hundred thousand dollar characters steamroll everything and skill becomes irrelevant all comes down to gear.

I want pk sticks lol. A once a day daily quest that gives little Wands that can force people into pk for 1hour. That would be fun lol nobody will complain about bots anymore and the bots will find somewhere else to farm^b:thanks I also want more animal wands! Ones that can turn me into cute animal b:sad

It's not so much the P2W that makes PVP unbalanced..it's the combat. Tab...dead. A lot of new games have blocking/dodging/non-tab targeting, so you actually have a chance to win even if it's P2W.

And by block/dodge I don't mean those unfair sin's buff skills for x seconds/minutes either.

You can't have it both ways. Either you want to get rid of a major bot problem or you don't. Making the servers PVP would would solve this and it honestly would not be much different from current PVE servers at all in terms of non-bot killing pk activity.

I have an alternative fix. make it so that there is different instances in servers. eg Archosaur server has Archosaur 1 Archosaur 2 and Archosaur 3. 3 seperate worlds within the same server allowing you to speak to people from arch 1 to arch 2 but not physically engage with them. ( you're allowed to switch to whichever one you want to be on ) this is what -snip- did to prevent people from hogging up all grind spots. it's a brilliant idea.

someone is hogging your farm spot on arch 1? move to arch 2 and find it unoccupied.

that way people with characters on the same server and timezone could play together without worrying about ppl hogging all spots and also allowing for pvp and pve worlds in the same server.

Unfortunately no, I would not start over on a new server. I've already tried starting from scratch on different servers in the past and I always got too bored with it and never went back, always went with staying on my main server DW.

The only one I did sort of "keep up" with was RT, but I haven't touched it in ages.

It is not my first character and it is not my first account, so I know how hard to gather materials and equipment, level character up to at least 70+ level in normal way (without power leveling).
While Raging Tide Server was offline (in different days), I had made blademaster in other server and leveled him to some low level.

Same World chat, same high level dailies and same result: it is boring.

Already did when I left Heaven's Tear after 1,5 or 2 (not so sure anymore) years to start on Morai. but have to say my first chars had not the best gear anyway...was a time, when TT99 was good bla bla.
I actually liked to start from zero again...but now? Naa, too much time spent on that chars

I probably would, if
- The server was oldschool
-or it was an EU-PvP server (without too much ganking)
- and i would have someone to start over with again, because i pretty much build everything i have on my own and hardly did instances with otherson my current server, what was really a pain. Or maybe a faction that does more than cashing its way to 100 and stays 15 hours a day at west gate. Then id "maybe" change my server.

Channels in games work so well. Shame it probabily wouldn't work with pwi's sever system...
Another game I play just has four servers, and seven channels per server--each server has a 'shop channel', channel one is normally the main 'instance' channel, in pwi's casei could make only one channel culti-bottable....
Too many people farming where you want to farm? Just change channels and find an empty one to do things in peace. Don't want to deal with all the lag? Just change channels to a less populated one. Want to do BH or events? Change to channel one and find a party.
Works really smoothily and is nice.

Why do you PVE nuts operate under the assumption that everyone on PVP servers are cash shoppers? Or seem to ignore that a majority of players on PVP servers probably have gear comparable to your own? Or think that everyone simply goes around maliciously attacking each other simply because they can? Or believe that every mob in every spot on every map is camped 24/7 by a superpower just waiting to kill you?

What did PVE servers do years ago when everyone was equal geared and people were actually questing on the world map? Stand around and sing kumbayah while taking turns waiting in lines to kill quest mobs?

No because i personally think its stupid.
The same thing is going to happen that happened with the current newer servers came up. Pple moving to the new servers in hopes to be the most OP on THAT server. All we will see are an even more noticable amount of epeen lol.

I WOULD make a character if the server
- had no cash shop
- no FCC/delta/PV related mass lving
- limited BH's

If there was a new server being made, would you go to it?
